No other shotgun sounds like a Winchester Model 97 when cycling the action.

When feeding the first round on a 1911 pulling the slide to the rear you hear the pop when the round rises and the "schlep" sound when it feeds.

The click when loading the M1 and the clip retainer catches the en bloc clip, the sound of the bolt going home and of course the ping when the clip ejects.

1. the "Ker-flunk" of my Mossy 500

2. The "snick" of my CZ 75 slide being cycled. For some reason, it's different than the others.

I love the sound and feel, the solid click, of seating a magazine in an AK type rifle.

As far as actual gunshot sounds, that would have to be my M44. It has a deep bark, but within it there is also a high pitch sound of pure velocity. I notice it more when someone else is shooting it and I'm standing to one side.

Target shooting a bolt action, hearing the pin fall to an empty chamber, and realizing it was a perfect shot.

It's been a while but I have heard them, I wish I took a turn shooting them, I'm just glad I got to try the PKM out.
If memory serves me right, it had the rate of fire close to the MP5's but it defently turned my head when it went off.

Pretty much any sound made by my XD .45, double barrel 12 gauge, lever action 30-30, and .22LR. The most stressful days at work are always eased by a quick trip to the range to listen to and participate in making some beautiful "music", so I guess I could include most sounds related to firearms.

My SKS make a "crunch."

Just before it fires, when I have the stock tight against my cheek, I can hear and feel a distinct crunching sound as the trigger grinds (I guess) on a rough spot. The trigger is fairly light and doesn't exhibit any resistance. I like that sound because I know that it'll fire if I move that trigger one more micro-zillimeter.

I recently watched all of the 'Dirty Harry' movies on AMC for the 115th time. Nothing beats the sound of Clint's M 29.

Do you wish they sounded like that in real life?

Well do ya, punk? ;)
