Here in the People’s Republic of Cuomo, LGS’s are not deemed “essential”, therefore they are forbidden to open. I would report on the stock of powder, but sadly, cannot.
Don't know emperor Cuomo still has all the gun shops shut down.
I bought my Win SPPs from Brownell's; total with shipping and hazmat ran it up closer to $200, but now I have 12K primers - enough to last me a while
Man's got to think about the future. When I'm below a years worth of components for any one caliber I start to get antsy. Then again, I buy dies and components for guns I'm planning on buying. I might need professional help.
Current guns I'm ready for:
anaconda
Garand
1894
I did find a pound of H4350 for $42.99 though. They had plenty of it too.
May they sit on it till it spoils, or they discontinue it and have to give it away to a kid desperately searching for it who would have paid sixty.
I remember people saying they would quit driving if gas ever sold for more that $1 per gallon.I'll sell my presses before I pay that for a pound of powder.
Here shortly I expect to see five or six a gallon in some spots. The next covid shortageI remember people saying they would quit driving if gas ever sold for more that $1 per gallon.

I was in Connecticut at that time it was over 5 and when my sub pulled in to Hawaii it was over 6. That was uglyIn '07 I remember paying $4.04 at one point.
And I was an independent contractor, driving 100-150 miles a day. It was crazy.
So? There is no such thing as gouging as I and others have repeatedly shown. He priced it at what he thought the market would bear, and it turned out he was right as folks bought his product. I would rather have something I might need readily available at a higher price than not to have anything available at any price. NONE of the gun/big box stores around here carry anything larger than 1# containers, so I buy either through my old gun club or online where I can buy 8# jugs.Seeing as how I was the one that diverted this thread, let me help get it back on track.
During the ‘13 component shortage, there was a vendor from TN showing up at the local gun shows that was selling pistol powders (Bullseye comes to mind) for $40 per pound. And some people bought it.
Technically you cannot gouge at all on firearms because in today's day and age they are not considered essential. When talking about price gouging most of the time people consider this with life's Essentials like gas and milk and bread and possibly now even toilet paper. So? Yes, I am glad this guy did this. Word got out that he was buying up any powder from the other vendors and then marking it way up. When powder became more readily available, people quit buying anything from him. He could not sell enough to justify coming to our shows. We now have a few vendors that sell at decent enough prices that it is more cost effective to buy at the shows instead of online. Free market works both ways. So? Good news is Midway is shipping same day now and has run a free shipping deal recently.
Exactly. the market and buyer sets the selling price, not the sellerYes, I am glad this guy did this. Word got out that he was buying up any powder from the other vendors and then marking it way up.
