Which bag do you use at the range and what do you carry in it (other than your firearm)? Got any pictures?

I actually own a Bailout Bag but because of were I live I decided to go with a bag that was a bit more discreet (didn't yell "hey look I have a gun in here") . I ended up using a very "non gun" looking marmot messenger bag (not a military style one either). This thing holds a TON of stuff: pistol, ammo, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, flash light, cleaning kit, notepad & pencils, water bottle, snacks, etc. with room to spare. I'm also planning to add a first aid kit to it. I have kept my bailout bag, which is a great bag, but now use it as a home defense bag.

I carry an NRA marked range bag I picked up at a Friends of NRA auction.

It's pretty big, about 30" long.

I carry some handloads in MTM cases, magazines, several pairs of glasses, ear plugs, a squib rod, a screwdriver set, a set of micro screwdrivers, BreakFree, Remington DryLube, bore light, sharpies.

I carry a separate cleaning bag.

If it's a big shooting day I carry an ammo bag also.

I use a: LaRue Range Bag

Its pretty nice and doesn't scream tactical gun bag.

It usually carries:
* 1-3 Pistols and magazines (whatever I'm shooting that day)
* Lube and cleaner bottles
* Stapler, extra staples, a roll of tape
* Some targets
* Ammo
* ear pro

you know... the usual.

I use this one. Got it on sale at Midway USA for around $40. Carry Pistols, Mags, small cleaning kit, stapler, tape, targets, ammo, eyes, ears, timer, small first aid kit, and a few extra stuff. It weights a bunch but it it great and I like it a lot.

at the sporting clays, and trap/skeet range I use a "Scoop Away" square plastic cat litter bucket- folks think I'm a sponsored shooter! (sqaure shell boxes fir better in a square bucket)
for the pistol or rifle range I use an assortment of milsurp tool or medic bags or a big ol padded camera bag.

A 10+ year old sky blue backpack contains about 250 rounds of various calibers, 2 sets of ears and glasses, ear plugs, $5 ball cap from cabelas, dummy rounds, 1/2 roll of shop towels, an all purpose cleaning kit, FAK and blood stopper from AMP (http://www.amp-3.net/products.html), index card with emergency contact numbers, extra magazines, alternate holster, targets, staple gun, staples, gorilla tape, flashlight, spare batteries, folding knife, leatherman, bottle of water, cliff bar, bandanna, carpenters pencil, mechanix gloves, poncho, wool hat, binoculars, gun club credentials, spare keys for clubs, photo copies of ccw permit, nra and goal cards. I use this bag because it is low profile and could be used for other purposes in an emergency. I have a separate get home bag in the truck.

Mine is a Target Barn bag.

It has-

8 g17 mags
ammo
D lead wipes
small cleaning kit for 9mm
Flashlight
3/32" punch for glock pins
Pen and Sharpie
rain poncho
Walmart sacs
Idpa card
Spare glock parts- springs, recoil rod, sights, fiber,
Bladetech holster and mag carriers
Ear muffs and glasses
Brass bag
Paper targets
A couple loose rounds
Spare change

I use the "Eddie Bauer" diaper bag we got when our daughter was born. It has lots of pockets inside and out, a wide, padded shoulder strap, and a zippered, removable plastic section that velcros into the center of the bag that works great for expended brass. I can easily carry several hundred rounds, one or two pistols and extra magazines, compact binoculars, and a notebook and range data book. I've got much more use out of the bag at the range than I ever did prior to potty training.

I use the midway range bag. Keep mags for my XD, 1911, AR, SKS, 38 speedloaders, extra ammo, eyes/ears, some tools, staple gun, range id card, knife and targets.

I use an old camera bag it is fully padded with a lot of pockets and a nice shoulder strap. The main storage area can be compartmentalized with removable padded sections. The bag generally hold 3 guns, 500+ rounds of centerfire of ammo, a brick of 22lr, two sets of ears on the inside. The outside pockets carry tape , staple-gun, various cleaning tools and fluids, and targets.

It looks something like this .

I take most stuff, targets, stapler, thumbtacks, my leather-rest bag and my Hoppes front rest in a sheetrock pail. The hoppes three-leg rest just fits nicely upside-down, with the three legs being supported by the rim of the pail.

Any guns I take in my full size van, typically just laid in the back on top of a few clean painter's dropcloths. The nice thing about a full-size van is there is plenty of room.

I have a steel cargo partition between the front and back (solid, no door to the back - for protection from flying things that may be in the back during a collision), if I happen to travel to the next state over I can easily separate any gun from ammo and have one or the other locked in the back. There is no physical way for me to get from the front to the back without opening the front door, walking around and opening up one of the back doors.
