I just bought some 230g 45 FMJRN "zero" bullets from Rose Distribution. I tried to search the site for these but got no results. Are they any good? I am loading them like anyother 230g FMJRN, is this correct?

Good question. I was just about to post the same. I have Zero in 45 ACP 230gr FMJ, 9MM Luger 115gr FMJ and 40 S&W 165gr TCFM and I was looking for some input as well, especially what COL to use.

Thanks

115 fmj- 1.140
115 hp- 1.100
230 fmj- 1.255
165 tc- 1.125
These oals work for me, the 115hp data is from Zero, the rest is what works for me.

Good luck, and load safe!:)

I just started reloading and have fired 750 rounds of Zero 230g FMJ with no issues. I bought them on recommendation of a competitive shooter on another forum who claims that a lot of IDPA guys like them. I'm loading mine with 5.3g of W231, CCI 300 primers, mixed brass and a 1.270 OAL.

They shoot at least as accurately as WWB or Blazer Brass 230g factory ammo, and work well with the round-nose seating die that came with my Dillon SDB.

Zeros seem to leave a little more copper fouling in my poly bore than I've seen with other ammo, but I can't tell for sure. I have some Precision Delta 230g FMJ on order, and will compare them with the Zeros in the coming weeks. They cost about the same as the Zeros I bought from Powder Valley.

Zero makes good bullets. I have shot them in 9MM, .38 Super, .38 Spl, .40, & .45. I have been pleased with them all.

Welcome to THR

Haven't used their 45's but they are all i use in our IPSC guns in 38 super, 124hp. Good quality bullets. You won't be disappointed.

I just received some but haven't had a chance to reload/shoot them; I've still got several thousand others on order. I did some extensive searching and found the vast majority of reviews to be positive (and so far they look good). The only thing to remember is that they (understandably) do their production in big batches, so depending on your timing you could be waiting a while for your particular bullet. I called them last week and they were supposedly out of .40s but were going to gear up for them in the next several weeks or so.

Bottom line: They get good reviews, they seem (based on this thread) to be fine re: accuracy, the price is definitely competitive...just need to sometimes wait to get what you want.

I use Zero bullets almost exclusively in my reloading. I really like them. Customer service is great, product is great, prices are great. They have me.

I like them better than Berry or Rainier plated bullets. Just got some more 230 gr last week. Not that there is anything wrong with Berry or Rainier either.

I have used the 165g in .40 for a couple of years now. Its all I use and get wonderful results with them. Good bullet.
