Zombie Craze

We say "zombies ", when we mean "degenerates intent on inflicting harm or taking what isn't theirs". It just makes our liberal neighbors chuckle at our fabulous senses of humor instead of ridicule our dead-serious intent to protect life and property.

That's why I laugh along with a friend of mine who has gotten back into shooting because of the zombies, we call it two different things but we're both preparing for the same thing :)

My sources indicate the impending zomboe uprising will occur while sheeple pretend there's nothing to worry about. Forewarned....

Anyway, I'm putting on a Zombie match to tap into that resource.

Thoughts?

So...the question is about a Zombie MATCH. Moved into Competition. Let's focus on the game aspect.

The zombie craze got me my first AR.

My wife and I love zombie movies, and we always have. After watching "The Walking Dead" (a show where they never say the word Zombie) recently, I showed her an image of a Spikes Tactical zombie themed stripped lower. When I told her the price of the lower (I didn't happen to mention the total cost to finish an AR build ;)), she told me that she really liked it and that I should get one.

So, for all you naysayers out there, Zombies = New Guns (<--link to my AR thread).

If you think Zombies are bad check out "Crossed" not for those with weak stomachs.

Onto the zombie match, head shots will be all the craze, and the .22lr rifle should play a central role in my opinion. If the only thing that will stop a zombie is a head shot than all you really need is a .22lr. All the other calibers are fro bandits, brigands, and marauders in the post-zombie-apoaclypse world.

Zombies will be the first problem, people will be the second. Can anyone remember Hurricane Katrina.

One more time: So...the question is about a Zombie MATCH. Moved into Competition. Let's focus on the game aspect.

Boy, ain't that the truth.

I hope that everyone stops buying Hornady 6mm ZombieMax bullets. I can get them about $10.00 cheaper per 500 than 58gr VMax bullets. With 44.5gr of AA-4350, they shoot bug holes at 100yrds with my Marlin XS7. Last week I hit a crow in the head with this load at 165 yrds. People should stop buying these bullets. They're terrible.

Zombie themed matches sure seem to have more 'bullet hose' stages, which is more or less unique to them.

Turning a blind corner to see 20 'shoot' targets from contact to 10 yards just isn't happening in your average IDPA or 3 gun match.

So, since there is no interest in discussing competition aspects, and we're just going to continue "Love Zombies/Hate Zombies" bickering -- another Zombie thread CLOSED.

Predictable, really.
