Zombies

Please excuse my ignorance / laziness to search, but what is it with some gun guys and zombies? Is it an inside joke?

I consider myself very pro-gun. I'm not discriminating against the zombie believers, just curious.

My $.02:

Because Zombies are the fanciful representation of the bogey men we all fear.

They are mindless soulless parasites bent only on devouring all that is good and human for their own selfish satisfaction. You know, like Socialists/Marxists.

They are the never ending unstoppable unyielding force that can never be truly conquered, only held at bay. The struggle is passed on from generation to generation. Like Totalitarianism.

They are the antithesis of the pro freedom (and by extension the pro gun) mentality. They are the embodiment of the terror of being eaten alive by an unstoppable system and turned into another mind numbed robot out to destroy what you once held as beautiful. Like a bureaucrat.

They are the predator that takes everything away from you and you have no recourse. Like lawyers.

And most importantly… they are soft targets that have no Lobby Group or PAC.

Target a zombie... for the children.

As to the OP. I'm going Pistol Cal carbine. No idea what is available down under.

Because of all the horror films out there, the zombie films have the best and most realistic firearms. They also combine elements of the TEOTWAWKI scenarios that are another favorite.

Ok, ok, I played Dead Rising (xbox360). I say anything you can hit them with works! A great tip is always shoot the head or hit the head. Clean kill baby!

If you have a secret hiding spot that you can snipe from. You can borrow my Enfield 303 and enjoy popping the heads off like a popcorn kernel going POP!!
