Well, now he is posting that the IIa is not about hunting, it is about guns..

Hopefully he keeps this up.

I hope he does.

I will echo that. Even tho my opinion of the man is pretty sorely tainted, even if his heart is still not completely with us as long as his mouth is moving in the right direction that's a good thing, and unlike a lot of folks I think the vitriol and passion displayed over this affair was a great thing - the best of things. It was a sign that the American spirit is alive and well. If you think hard about how we came to be a country, it was the men with fire in their bellies that made us what we are.....and they were the ultimate "it's our way or the highway" activists.

I've never been prouder of the online community for quick and decisive action, even if it was to address an insult. I don't think we ate our own, but rather threw a rat out of the kitchen. If he comes back a better guest, great, but it wasn't our fault for the transgression or the punishment.

I hope we keep this fire burning, we'll need it for other fights.

I agree with Master Blaster. Let's watch Jim and see if he puts his heart into making his errors right. If he does I have a feeling he'll make a better ally than enemy. I simply can't see denying anyone the right to continue something they have done well for years because he stepped on a poodle. We have time to see whether or not he means what he now says and puts forth a hard effort.

I'll be looking at his comments with interest in the future. He can change his mind just as anybody can. Personally, I think he could be extremely helpful to the cause as somebody that tells the gun-grabbers, "Whoa, I used to think like that. But I get it now." They're already using his former opinions to further their agendas. Now let's see what they say as they hear his amendments.
