I recently bought a Glock 42 for summer carry. I usually wear cargo shorts or cargo pants and am looking for a holster with good retention and stability in a cargo pocket. Anyone have any experience with the Recluse TS Cargo? I can't find any real reviews on it.

Like I said, no real reviews. I saw that video, but it doesn't tell me much. I want to know if it changes when you sit down, how well it conceals during normal movement, etc.

I have a leather pocket holster for my G42 that I carry in my strong-side cargo pocket. Drawing from a cargo pocket is no different than drawing from a flap holster - you gotta get the flap outta the way to get to the handgun. Given the floppy nature of the cargo pocket flap (and the fact that the pants themselves will ride up during the draw), presentation from the cargo pocket is definitely slower and more prone to slight fumbles than other forms of carry. Nevertheless, it's my preferred form of carry since it's the most comfortable and least obtrusive. My point is that I dunno that I'd fault the holster in the video for the presentation fumbles - it pretty much seems to be the Achilles heel of cargo pocket carry.

And, on a soapbox - reholstering a pocket gun with the holster in the pocket is an ND waiting to happen. Pull the holster out, insert gun, and put holster back in the pocket.

I have a non-cargo Recluse TS pocket holster for my RM380. The holster is well made, hides the outline of the gun, and the gun draws easily.

Retention is essentially gravity. If you hang upside down, the gun will slide out of the holster. So, don't hang upside down. :)

I got a Desantis Superfly in the mail today. It works pretty well in my Wrangler cargo shorts. Takes up the whole pocket and looks like I have a tablet or other small device in there.

I use the DeSantis Superfly for parka outside pockets in winter. Looks like it would do a good job in a cargo pocket. It's about 1/3 the cost of the holster you mentioned and it's made of flexible, but sticky, material. Likely a lot more comfortable.

One of my favorite pocket holsters is the DeSantis Nemesis Cargo. It has the advantage of holding an extra magazine in my deep pants pockets. I'm not sure it would be of use in cargo pockets but it might be worth a look. Again, it's much less expensive than the Recluse and it's made of a flexible, sticky material:
