Only obsolete cartridge rifle I have is an original 1874 Sharps "A" sporting rifle in .40-70 mid-range. But I've got dies and brass for it.:)

I don't own any of those yet, but I have brass and dies for 6mm Remington and the action that will become the rifle. I've also got a Savage 110 that will become a 280 Rem AI, but I don't think that counts as a 280 Rem. :D One of my unicorns is a Savage 99 in 250-3000. They show up for sale quite often around here, but they usually disappear almost instantly.

I amazes me how hard .250 Savage ammo is to get, thank goodness for .22-250 cases !
I found that out the hard way. Just assumed it would be easy when I bought the rifle at the shop. Then found out that cases were scarce as hen's teeth. I had to buy antique ammo just to be able to shoot it. Then Remington did a run of their factory load, then I borrowed some cases for a few months. It wasn't until I had the rifle for a year before I had a good supply of cases.

.35 Rem (also .257 Roberts and 6.5x55, All three aren't easy to find at times.)
.41 Mag (Same here, .41 Mag ammo isn't on the shelves at many of the stores I frequent...)

I don't currently own any of those, but the 280 is one of those rounds that I've owned in the past and liked. You didn't include 35 Rem, but I do own one of those. It is probably closer to obsolete than 280.

I have a Winchester 94 in 32 Special, made in the 1920s IIRC, 26" octagon barrel and rare "take-up" trigger. It's a good shooter, as soon as you figure out the buckhorn sights. I also have a Savage 99H (IIRC also) in 303 Savage, but I didn't buy it to shoot. It was in of an eight gun collection I bought, and I'll likely sell it. If it was 300 Savage, I would keep it.
