Went shooting with my buddy yesterday, and one of the guys we brought was my Blackhawk in 45 colt. I love shooting it and the cowboy loads a blast because the heavy gun mitigates most of the recoil. I also brought a box of "bear loads" made by grizzly. I have no shame in admitting at the recoil is too much for me with that ammo. I'm looking for something with considerably less recoil, but still a viable woods gun cartridge for north east Washington and northern Idaho, where we actually do have grizzlies.
I'm looking at the 280 grain standard pressure outdoorsman loads from buffalo bore, but have no experience with them, and would love to hear some recommendations.
The ammo that was too spicy for me was this: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...mance-lead-wide-flat-nose-gas-check-box-of-20 my buddy only shot one round, and immediately yelled "dude that really hurts!"
