Except for Spokane, Eastern Washington (right next to Idaho) is nice. Unfortunately, it's ruled by Western Washington (Seattle).
With all of the liberal transplants that have moved into the Boise Valley in the last 25-30 years (and they're still coming) Idaho will probably turn purple one of these days. I probably won't be around to see it though - I'm 71.
Anyway, to answer your question ExAgoradzo, if you move to Idaho and you're planning on using your new rifle for big game hunting (deer, elk, pronghorns, black bears, and possibly a moose if you draw) a 7mm Rem Mag would work great. That's what my wife and several of our friends use. I use my beloved 308 Norma Mag of course, but that's mostly out of sentimentality - my old 30-06 worked just as well before I bought my 308 Norma as a retirement gift to myself.
