How far south do I have to go from New England to hunt Wild Hogs?
Where in Tennesee are there wild hogs. ?
OK thanks! There have been wild hogs in Tenn. for ages in the eastern mountains. Tellico Plains is where they were famous for them back in the '60s. All the game ranches along Hwy. 411 have them from Benton to Bristol.
It's in the yearly NYS hunting/trapping book they usually have at the sporting goods counters when you buy your license. States if you see them do not shoot them. iIRC a few years ago it said shoot on sight, but that changed apparently. Never heard of pigs around Albany though.Bert
Do you of any one who has seen any of them?
They say they have have feral hogs but deny having any cougars.
older post it I remember when it said it was fine to shot, then the next it was illegal. I have not seen any down in Orange co. But if I see piggy it's going home. It's in the yearly NYS hunting/trapping book they usually have at the sporting goods counters when you buy your license. Is it true that only residents of WV can Hunt hogs in WV?. I lived in Greenbrier county for six years and seem to remmber that. There are wild boar in a few counties here in southern WV

Just checked WV DNR site no mention of boar hunting on main page.
Did a search there is a season. Boar hunting is restricted to Boone, Logan, Raleigh and Wyoming counties.
West Virginia's 2019 wild boar firearms season opens Oct. 26, runs through Nov. 2, and is open to West Virginia residents only.
I did not find if there was a 2020 season over 400 pages returned in search.
There is a 2020 season residents only?
