You're missing the viper and boa and your king cobra is new production stainless?

Am not a revolver fan, they just don't do much for me. But Colt snake guns just have a certain look, much like a 63 split window Vette. You see one and think, I bet that's a sweet arse ride.

All mine are current production guns.

You know what you like!

Wish I had the discipline

More than one, less than infinity.

I’ve been collecting revolvers on and off since 1980. Along with semi-auto pistols and various rifles and shotguns.

Now, if I can figure out how to get a WWII land portable 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft gun, I’d be all set. 😊

Hi...
I have revolvers in every caliber from .22LR through .44Magnum by multiple manufacturers from Taurus, Ruger, S&W, Dan Wesson, Virginian Dragoon, Uberti, and probably a few more that I can't recall at the moment.
More revolvers than I need but less than I want.

I like to say that I have an accumulation, not a collection. I bought my first revolving pistol in 1983, but one I bought in 1985, an S&W Model 58, is among those I still have, though its parts became loose enough that I stopped shooting it by some time in the early Nineties. I did not wear it out, all by myself; it had been an issued San Antonio (Texas) PD duty revolver, before I bought it.

The GP100 visible in my avatar image, acquired in the very early Nineties, is the revolver that has been with me the next longest time; not until about 1990 could I financially justify keeping any firearm that was not “working for a living,” and even during most of the Nineties, I did not tend to keep many firearms that I did not regularly use. Several really nice revolvers and autos were sold to finance a serious 1911 pistol “phase,” that I started in 1997.

The revolver that I have had the third-longest, since the early or mid-Nineties, is an S&W Performance Center J-snub, .38 Special, based on a Model 642, but given its own model designation, during a time when S&W tended to do that. Its frame is stamped “M460.” Its black finish is much-worn, from its time riding in ankle and pocket holsters, and it has become my wife’s gun, after my hands finally got tired of .38 recoil with light-weight J-frames.

Some of my presently-owned revolvers literally did work for a living. The S&W Model 58, a fixed-sight .41 Magnum, was my duty handgun from some time in 1985 until some time in 1990, and may have served as a brief interim duty handgun as late as 1991, when my Colt Commander starting having problems, and was then replaced by a SIG P220.

My first GP100, seen in my avatar image, served as my primary duty handgun from June 1993 until some time in 1995, when a lighter-in-weight S&W K-Frame Model 66 took its place, though that GP100 continued to serve as a “bag gun,” while I was on duty, for much longer, into the second decade of this century. I have continued to carry Ruger GP100, SP101, and Speed Six revolving pistols, during personal time, and into retirement, to this day.

I have some S&W and Colt DA revolvers, and Ruger, US Firearms, and Standard Manufacturing single-action sixguns.

Several of my revolvers were added during a nostalgic time, post-retirement, 2018 to about 2022. If I remember correctly, I have not bought any revolvers in 2023. I may be about to thin the herd, just a bit, because two of my most-recently-acquired revolvers had been customized by Gemini Customs, so, were rather expensive. Or, maybe I will sell a few auto-pistols, rifles, or, may not sell any firearms. (I am also trying to decide whether to sell-off some camera lenses. Regardless, I really should down-size a few things.)

I don't even have an idea about how many I've owned over the years, at one time, I know it was over 100. About a 75/25 split revolver to semi's. That was when I fancied myself as a "collector".

These days? Even counting one on layaway now, I'm at less than a dozen. If the ATF is interested, I'm sure they can find the pictures online. Like they've never seen one before. I even had a C&R at one time, so they know me. We always got along just fine.

I keep telling myself, I need to stop buying them, but something else always turns up.

A picture? Here's one I don't think I've posted here before.

1951 Smith and Wesson M&P 38, 6" barrel. Very likely unfired since it left the factory (until I got it), and the box it came in. All the numbers match, including the box.

I'm downsizing my collection so my wife won't have to deal with it when I get hit by the cosmic beer truck. Without opening the safe, I think 8 or 9 The two Vaqueros I used in CAS. Two S&W M15s because one was my first centerfire and they are perfect. M38 nickel, it's pretty. M28 because it does it all. Ruger Single Six, first revolver and owned since 1960. Colt New Service in .45 Colt because it's so damn big.

I don't worry about exposing myself to BATF or whomever. Have a concealed carry permit. Certified NRA instructor. Long time competitor in various firearms disciplines. Participant in this and several other firearms forums. If I'm not on the "list," I'm offended.

I got a late start getting my first revolver at 65 years old(2015) but made up for lost time. I'll just post the revolvers I didn't know I "needed" until I saw them on my LGS's shelf. S&W Model 28-2 4", Smith Model 15-2 4", Model 10-10 4", 1950 pre Model 10 1 7/8", Ruger Security Six 2 3/4" 357 and Ruger GP100 3" blued fixed sight(1989) 357.

Well, first there's the 9 (another Russian Nagant since this photo) mostly military 7.5-8mm revolvers, including one .32-20 Hand Ejector, that all use a common, compromise handload:

CompromiseRevolvers.jpg

Then there's 4 in .38 Spl/357 Magnum, 4 in .45 ACP/AutoRim, 2 in .32 H&R, 1 in .327 Federal, 1 in .32 S&W, 1 in .38 S&W, 2 in .22 LR, and finally just the one .44 Magnum right now.

That makes 25 for the moment, unless I've forgotten something.

I had changes for a 32-20 Hand Ejector 3rd… I waited too long and it was gone as I was thinking about it… 1 day! ouch
