S&W N frames in .45 acp. Why? Because I got a 1911 already. Ammo interchangability, but would you consider .45 acp big-bore?

S&W 460 with my reloads with 240gr xtp's with 44.2grs of W296. You know when you pull the trigger:) After shooting about 100 rounds I am still amazed by the huge flash in the front.

625 .45 ACP

I own two M29's I haven't shot them much since I bought my 625 in .45 ACP.
Now I'm looking for another 625 just in case.
They don't make sense, to heavy for there power, to big for most to conceal or carry, not A real fine hunting cartidge. I just like the way they shoot and make me happy.
Fellow shooter at my range bought one for his 80th birthday. Don't wait that long to try one.

Ruger "Old" Vaquero in .45 Colt, 4 5/8". Blue barrel and cylinder with a color case hardened frame. Previous owner had it slicked up for cowboy action, so it shoots like a dream.

My model 29-10 with 6 and a half inch barrel. Maybe the most accurate handgun I own and a joy to shoot.

Sort of a toss up with me. The BH .45 is a better packin' gun(to me) because it's lighter and being a Ruger can be loaded to some downright impressive levels if you're into that sort of thing. The Super .44 is probably a better range gun being heavier with just a bit more sight radius but not bad to carry in field if the weight don't bother you. Also being stainless, maybe a bit easier to care for. Of this pair the .44 has a hair better trigger but not enough to brag about. Both are versatile and the cost of shooting about equal but the .44 does have a much better selection of factory ammo available almost all places.

My favorite big bore cartridge is the .45 Colt. I have three guns in this cartridge -- a Colt New Service with a 7 1/2" barrel, made in 1906, and two Ruger Blackhawks, one with the 7 1/2" and one with the 5 1/2" barrel.

71/2 stainless Blackhawk. Mine is very acurrate, totally dependable with many loads up and down the thermometer, packs in my shoulder holster with no dificulty, and it is real beauty to look at. It would be my "keeper" if it came down to only having one revolver. Old 112

My favorite big bore revolver is S&W M629 Classic, .44 Mag, 5" full underlug barrel with custom Jordan style Herrett grips.

Good shooting and be safe.

.45 Bisley Ruger

That Dave Clements worked over for me. Shoots better than I do.

My 4" S&W Model 29-2, which is currently at S&W for a refinish.

Small enough to be handy, just big enough to have almost no recoil with .44 Specials.

I usually go for the deep blued, traditional looking revolvers, but this one is a sweeet shooter. Exceptionally accurate, superb fit, excellent trigger. The look, with its Birdsong NATO green and Black T finish, decidedly isn't for everyone, but I like it.
