Please do not do it. Nothing worse than wounding an animal to die slow and painfully. Put it down quickly/humanely with a properly powered round. Be sure to mark those sp primed casings. Some use a magic marker on the head. Get them mixed up and you will be crushing LP primers. I have a box or two of them set aside so they do not get mingled. Will be swapping them at some point.

Guess the question is--do you want a gun for show or for go? Will it stand harsh treatment-rain, mud, dropped, used as a club or shield? "Cool" may let you down if the going gets tough.
