I would think, the old rule applies. Form follows function. If you want something you can pull in tight to your body, you need something narrow. A big magazine hanging off the side gets in the way. On the top, optics have troubles, and it can allow gunk from the field to get into the action...

A friend got the 36, and it was interesting, but I tend to want round count. The 30S has the SF frame as well, so slimmer grip, slimmer slide both. I think I will just save up and find a 30S or maybe trade off something else I am not currently using enough.

The one thing about the G36 is the thin slide, I also would love the SF frame that's still double stack.

I have a Glock 30, and it's lovely. The only problem is the thickness. It's an absolute brick. I've been looking at the 30S, and I'm wondering if I should trade it out. Something in the size range of the G19 and chambered in 45 sounds fantastic. I'm not super keen on being rid of the G30...

There's a stick type plug in the magazine tube. I lost mine and had to make another for my hunting season. It was a small dowel with rubber o-rings on it. Pretty easy.

If this is for lighting, I would recommend low voltage LED strip lighting. Amazon sells kits with power supplies that can light the whole inside of the safe easily. Unless you're using a dehumidifier?

I just stumbled upon Brass Max from Tulammo, and it has some serious flash out of my G19. It's also kind of inconsistent as far as accuracy.
