The problem is due to the sheer dB at extreme frequencies a rifle makes. Think of it this way....in a studio you run prolly somewhere around 100dB if you got some rock band cranked in there. A -30dB isolation brings it down to 70dB outside the room, a safe level. Now I believe a .45 Colt pistol...
If we go to Chabot it's fairly Central Bay Area, just South of Alameda/Oakland. Otherwise it depends where we find BLM land or we go to one of the ranges in the South Bay.
We could do BLM land, but we'd need to scout out a place.
If we want to try a range again, Chabot treated us fairly well as a group the few times we've met there. Hell, we hardly got a warning after hip firing the M1919.
Personally my range of choice right now is the 200yrd at Metcalf...
Pete, as QBG brought up...it took forever to get the coals going. Unless it's a pain in the ass for you to bring it, the little Weber will make for faster and easier cooking.
Whose bringing what? (I'm refering to food, not guns :D )
I'll bring some soda and bockwurst, maybe make my bro...
So is anyone going to go on the 18th even if you do another another shoot in the near future? I'm trying to figure out what to tell a few people I invited to go...........
I've got a couple people planning on being there on the 18th.
25th isn't so good becuase I'm planning on 200yrd at Metcalf Field Sports Park on the 26th. If anyone wants to meet at the 200yrd on the 26th, its an awesome shoot and I should be there.
I'll try to make it.....really short notice though. Are we gonna do this shoot then another one the very next weekend at Los Altos??
*edit*
Just read the other topic. I think I'm just going to aim for the 18th. Having a bunch of shoots in a row is fun, but rather hard on my wallet.
