Just fired some fresh reloads through my 1960 -+/- Marlin 336 RC. I used 26.1 grains IMR 3031

First test was spectacularly better!!! 2nd test fell on its face evidently due to operator error!!!! I couldn’t hit a bull in the ass with a spade that day! Anyone else ever experience this rare phenomena? 3rd test coming soon!

I just read Brad Miller’s article in the Feb 23 issue of Shooting Times. It really got me to thinking. Anyone reloading this cartridge? Can .38 Short Colt brass be made from .357 mag brass simply by reducing the length?

The gas seal is the boolit/bullet to bore fit. And the groove is for the lube a lead projectile (boolit) requires to keep lead from coating the bore. You’re doing great here buddyd157. Keep it up!
