Just so happens my wife gave me the Ruger SR1911 pistol as a birthday present on December 2nd. The first bullet out of this gun hit the bull's-eye at 25 yards which got my attention. I went on to shoot a nice 3.5" to 4" group right out of the gate...This was with a factory Blazer 230 gr...

All I know is I use that same BTB over 20gr H110 & CCI350 it shoots an excellant group out of my Black-Hawk Hunter and what I liked most it shot really well out to a 100 yards in the my Marlin... I also use the BTB 250 WFNGC over 12 grains of Unique and it is very accurate load both guns too...

If your not crazy about Unique try 8.2gr of Universal or 9gr Win-231. Both are good shooting & accurate in my 44's. Good general carry loads. These are safe published loads on Hodgdons website.
