My Gen3 17 & 19 both have Grip Force Adapters, which let you “choke up” on the grip without getting slide bite. My Gen4 21 and my 19X both have the large beavertail backstraps that came in the box, and these work for me using any type or quality of ammo that I bring...
My STI Trojan 9mm 1911 is what I like to shoot if I’m shooting with a group of people who don’t have a lot of shooting experience. I put a WC 13lb Flat Wire Recoil Spring with the full size WC 1/4” dia. guide-rod & plug setup on it, so now it shoots all weights of 9mm really well.
The early Gen4 Glock 22 that I bought used was the only bad “G” that I ever had and the only “G” that I traded off. I replaced it with a new Gen4 21 and never looked back, IMHO a superior Gun.
Terrific caliber, but any advice you give about .45 GAP begins with “Assuming you reload”. I had a chance to shoot a friends Glock 38 a while back, which is .45 caliber in a Glock 19 form factor pistol, and it’s a wonderful gun to shoot, might be one of the most underrated pistols I’ve ever had...
When I got my BHP Mk.II from the Cabelas Gun Library in Lone Tree CO for $525.00 I’m thinking I got a really good starting point for a project gun, and now 5 years later its unchanged from the day I got it except for a few thousand additional rounds through it.
I can live with the Pachmayr grips, the sights on mine are spot on, the gun shoots fine the way they are. The trigger is decent. The best pistolsmith I know of in this area talked me out of machining the slide for new front & rear sights. This white-haired ‘smith knows his stuff, he’s worked on...
While I shouldn’t pass judgement on this new design before I ever get a chance to shoot one at the range, the change to the grip angle on this new model looks just wrong, and it may mess with the way the gun points to a target, and therefore the way the gun shoots. The grip angle and balance on...
My P30 is several years old with at least 5-7K rounds through it. A fantastic pistol for whatever intended purpose you want to use it for. The gun was designed as a law enforcement service pistol and the ambi slide release is a design feature specified by many European law enforcement agencies...
I absolutely love the Wilson Combat Vickers Elite F.O.front & blind battlesight rear sights that I have on my Glock Gen3 17 and 19. Works like crazy for me on these guns. I will tend to agree with the previous poster about a F.O. rear sight setup, and the Dawson F.O. sights would be on my 2...
Really? That gun likes you, you will be chewing the meatball in no time. With the exception of a grip change, I wouldn’t make any major mods to a gun that works for you right out of the box.
I always appreciate well ventilated targets, the 2 “flyers” are so close to the ragged hole, I wouldn't even call them flyers, offhand? how many rounds? what distance?
