We have several, but the one I go to is great. West Texas Military Surplus in Lubbock. Randy is a cool guy, and his prices can't be beat. If he doesn't have it, he'll order it for you. I only had to put $100 down on an oddball so that he'd order it for me. He showed me the price HE paid for it...
How about getting out and locking the car behind you? That way, if it's a safety issue, he would only need to Terry frisk the person. Car is locked, so no safety issue there.
Does that hold any H2O?
I hate to say it, but this line of thinking sucks. It's a liberty stifling line of thinking. I don't care what's scary to a cop. They CHOSE a career that is known to entail risk.
What happens when the 'extremists' comprise a significant percentage of the population? Would they still be extremists? What's the cutoff? 20%? 40%? When does something become mainstream?:banghead::D
A guy at work has used 7.62 ball (regular old AP) to punch through 3/8" steel plate.
I'd think 7mm would work if you used FMJ bullets. He used an FAL for his 7.62X51 'tests'.
Edit: Sorry - AP meaning anti-personnel. He wasn't using black-tip armor piercing bullets. Regular old FMJs.
I'm almost ashamed to shop there now. :o
I usually pick up surplus stuff like ammo cans, wool blankets, BDUs or other used military clothes (good hunting gear for cheap), maybe an e-tool, etc.
The only ammo I ever bought was 7.62X39 because it was a good deal.
I feel dirty after...
Nope, that's as it should be.
Freedom's kinda risky, but it's better than the alternative.
Creepy is trusting the government for your safety and to do the right thing.
If you've got the money for that many Kalshnikovs, don't gift them to a charitable organization. Adopt me and let me...
I've never bought the argument that Obama and Congress have too much to worry about with the economy to be thinking about 2A issues.
They have large staffs for a reason - to be able to deal with multiple issues.
I'm afraid I don't know that guy.
I can buy a rifle. And in a few months, I can give it to my son. It is my property. In a few weeks. At the time I bought it, it was mine.
Straw purchases are when you and 'whitey' walk into a gun store and you buy it knowing full well he can't own it. So...
