I have been using the press mounted unit for about two years now. Been happy with it . Haven’t seen it available for sale anywhere for quite some time now. It may already be discontinued?

I have 5. I did use them on all calibers at one time, now I only use them on rifle calibers.

Try it both ways, set the die to just touch the shell holder and size a case. Then with another case try it with the die set to cam over (1/8 extra turn). And see if you can find any difference in the two cases. I think you will find it doesn’t make any difference.

It wouldn’t for me, if I don’t have 1000 new Starline brass for each caliber I load, I start to twitch.

What powder are you using and what charge weight? What bullet? You got to tell us more so we can figure out what is happening.

I can’t use a Strong Mount because the ceiling in my reloading shed is to low, as it is I only have about 16 inches above the case feeder. However I do think that widening the bolt pattern will improve the stability and strength considerably. I did notch out the bench and mounted the press...

I will chime in too, and say No difference.

RCBS Partner, and Lee Challenger are to light weight for rifle rounds, they are good presses and I own them, but as an only press I would advise against them. The Lee Classic Cast is heavy duty and a great buy.

If they tested the exact same powders again today, they would get small differences in velocities and pressures. Thus the small differences don’t mean much

I have not seen any W-W “NT” but the Federal “NT” are somewhat enlarged. Not as much as in that pic however. The pic is defiantly for use with wax or rubber bullets with primers only and no powder.
