    dpms ar15's

Actually, my 3 Day Carbine Operator Course lists ammo reqs as 1300 rds of 5.56- not 500. Actual ammunition expenditure is situationally dependent on the number of students, quality of students and environmental considerations.

EAG conducted a 4 Day Tactical Carbine Class at the Memphis PD Range. This was an open enrollment 4 Day Class that was conducted primarily within the excellent shoot house. T1 started off with a lot of glances skyward as the residue of Ike passed by the range. We had moderate rain and wind in...

AAR EAG Carbine Clinton OK 19-21Sept 2008

EAG conducted a Carbine Operators Course at Clinton OK, 19-21 Sept 2008. This was an open enrollment class, and was a collection of the usual suspects- Soldiers, Cops, and average people. MEU-SOC AR/1911 Qual, they are fun but they aren't easy!

A few salient points here. First and foremost is the fact that i had nothing at all to do with the development of this course. It was the result of 2MEF SOTG Instructors who upgraded the previous MP5 Course to M4 level. I use it because it is a good test of skillsets. Second- XDkingslayer...

    S&w M&p-15?

Larue.... If Larue is an option, Larue is the answer (not my quote, but it is appropriate). The Larue mounts are the only ones we have used that actually return to zero.

    Various AR-15 style Rifles

Re S&W M&P 15's. Several months ago there was an article in SWART magazine- "A Tale of Three Smiths". 3 M&P15's were run for over 24,000 rds over the period of several months. It may answer several of your questions.

    S&w M&p-15?

Hey Steve! Roger that- and apparently it is always better not to let facts stand in the way of myths, theories or conjecture. Good time up here Brother- cool, but good training WX. Did you get the Casa Grande dates in OCT?

"Trying to find any reality in a gun magazine review is like trying to find a truthful presidential candidate." No kidding? Of course, if perhaps you might have actually read the article before failing to engage brain and then hitting the "send" button, you might actually have...

AR-15 Question #1: LaRue vs DD Rails

I use the Larue rail because i strongly believe it is the best. It also requires that you remove the front sight base to install it, something that some won't/ can't do.
