Should a American Citizen, With No Legal Disqualifications, Be Able to Board a Bus,Train, Subway or Plane with a Firearm?

Theoretically, yes. Realistically, there is no way to know if someone has the legal ability to carry.

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Actually, yes. I got a nice present from Uncle Sam, so I treated myself to an AGM Rattler tc35-640 thermal clip-on with several reducing mounts to fit most of my scopes, and a Garmin Xero C1 radar chronograph. I love it when I get to treat myself.

Brushing necks, what exactly do you mean.

Well, when I "brush" the necks, with a nylon brush, it is to clean any left over lube and any debris left from trimming the case. I feel it just helps the bullet seat better in the case.

Do you camouflage your rifle to match your environment?

    I hate black guns.

Which is more VERSATILE: An AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel, or an AR-10 in .308?

I have both and to be honest, my weapons are primarily for "self defense" or SHTF scenarios. Both have their uses, but my 308 ar-10 would be more versatile in those situations. The 6.5 will be lighter, and have less recoil, so would be better for the women and the "smaller" family members...

My first negligent discharge! And I got it on video.

Sorry, a 1 lb trigger on a 1903 is just way to light. Someone has "bubba'd" that sear engagement to the point it is dangerous. Unless you can find the parts to fix that trigger, you should not load a live round in that weapon. You have a potentially very dangerous and unreliable weapon there.

AR 15s in calibers other than 5.56 NATO

I have ARs in several calibers. 300blk, 6.5 grendel, and 450bm. 300blk supers run fine on 556 mags, heavy subs not so much, but do run on dedicated 300blk mags like those from Lancer. 6.5 grendel run fine on 556 mags. 450bm will work on 556 mags, but are not always reliable. It needs either...

I remember my Dad buying an M-1 carbine out of the Sears Roebuck catalog back in the early 60s.

    Thoughts or ideas,.......

I have come up with a plan. I found a small table a little over a foot high. I reinforced it and it seems to work. It is low enough to the ground to have no wobble at all. I can sit on the ground, get a good sight picture, it is stable as a rock, and very light, like 3 or 4 lbs, so easy to carry...

    Thoughts or ideas,.......

I am thinking of taking a long range shooting class this summer. The issue is most of the shooting will be done from the prone position. Back problems from my youth and advancing age makes the prone position a problem and painful. Do any of you shooters have this problem and what, if anything...

    Remington vs Federal ammo

It's like in reloading. Same bullet, same load, different case, different primer, are not going to have the same velocity and will impact differently. In most cases not significantly, but minor differences will cause changes in impacts and the greater distance, the greater the differences. Also...

    Moving and Gun stuff

When I moved from Fla to Ind I packed all my "gun stuff" myself and kept it separate. I transported it myself in my POV. That way, I knew where it was.

question about backing material for a target range setup

My home range backstop, back to front.... 8x8 wall of sandbags, then, 8x8 wall of 4x4 timber, then, 8x8 frame consisting of 3/4" plywood, 10" of sand, 3/4" plywood, then, 4" of sand, then, 8x8 wall of 4x4. About every 2 years I have to replace the front 4x4 wall, but have only had a few rounds...
