    Cleaning a .22

As a bullseye shooter, I only clean my match pistols every 500 rounds, or so, and even then I seldom swab the barrel. On the other hand, if it's a .22 I'm not going to shoot again in the near future, I'll clean the action before I put the gun away. Just pride of ownership. Kinda like...

    Tv: NCIS

Don't expect firearms expertise when they can't get the vehicles correct. The bad guy in the cowboy boots got out of clearly marked Lincoln Navigator, but the "tire tread evidence" said the vehicle was a Mercury Marquis. Curious.

Dose anyone leave their 1911 stock?

It's kind of like having a Harley, it's hard to keep 'em stock.

Do you have more than 1 gun in the same caliber?

I have more than 5 .22 handguns, more than 5 .22 rifles, 5 .38 revolvers, more than 5 .45ACP pistols, and more than 5 .45 Colt revolvers. That doesn't make me a bad person does it?

Buying at a gun show vs local dealer

I purchase new guns at local dealers. If I'm looking for a used gun, I'll buy it wherever I find it at a fair price.

Anyone have a gun related tattoo?

What barrel lenght do you prefer?

Barrel length preference depends on use. Since this is in the revolver forum, I'll share that when I carry a revolver I carry a 3" j frame. When I'm shooting bullseye with a revolver I use a 4" k frame. For SASS I use a 3.5" Vaquero and a 4 3/4" New Vaquero.
