Excellent. I love the F-16, it is a good fighter jet.

F16 ? Thats an A-10 Warthog my friend. If youve never seen an A10 do a deep dive into a valley and open up that 30mm nose cannon on a tank you havent lived. WAAAA WAAAA WAAAA . Tank parts flying all over the place. It is a thing of beauty.

Fun part is locking onto one with a Stinger . His radar detection goes off and that pilot banks 60 degrees straight up and is GONE !

Been thinking about it. A general thought is the more stuff you buy is the more stuff you have to maintain. Be it cars or homes or guns with that kind of money. I would probably stick multiple copies of those that I already use and like.

I would take a lot of training classes across the country. That would be fun.

First gun I'd buy? MG42.
Then Start on a massive pre war British "best" gun collaction. Rigby. H&H. Purdy, Jeffery, WR, etc.

A decade ago, I actually designed a pistol that I'm absolutely certain would work. It also mated with a carbine ala mech tech. Both would be chambered in 7.62x25, both high capacity and possessed several neat-yet-practical features.

Since I've designed this firearm on a hobby level, I've actually seen some of those neat features incorporated into modern firearms, so I know I was on the right track.

Though this was a while ago, with that kind of money, I'd make it happen. Even if it was a run of 10 or less that remained with me.

If the rules were that they had to be existing firearms, I'd probably try to obtain a pristine example of every firearm used in both the Great War and WWII and perhaps a... T72 tank? Is that too much to ask?

In all honesty, I'd probably donate most of the money to people who I genuinely feel need it to keep their families warm and fed. I have a bleeding heart for good people and kids and that will probably be my downfall financially if I ever won a substantial sum of money. I'm not hardwired towards luxury anyway.

Torture test one of those overblown Cabot million-dollar guns made from meteorite...

Some politicians.

+1, and/or really successful lawyers, preferably ones that drink blood.

Then lots and lots and lots of ammo and enough land for a 500 yard range, fenced. I can get by very happily otherwise with very little.

Poper beat me to it in post #10.

Aside from that, I'd buy top of the line guns to replace my lower end ones, then enough magazines and ammo to last until Thursday after never.

ETA: Cooldill, you know that's not a F-16, right? A-10 Warthog.

A team of great lawyers and politicians to go through the current laws in all 50 states and nullify every one that is repugnant to the Constitution. Bring this country back on track to be what it was envisioned to be.

Flush out all of the corruption. Hey, I can dream.

Oh. And a brick of .22lr.

well I want 300 acres with a shooting berm out the back door and wooded area with lots of deer and squirrels and on it sits a log cabin with fireplace or woodstove and plus I want to buy and own the north American arms company so I can say I own a gun manufacturer!

I would build/buy a huge compound in Arizona and then basically populate it with every NFA gun and device I could find, machine guns, destructive devices, flame throwers, definitely a few flame throwers, helicopters equipped with Dillon Mini guns. I think an underground bunker big enough to hold the worlds best gun collection in style (think like a Bond Villain) I would also build an ammo warehouse. I think with a few billion rounds of ammo?

Then, on to the range, I would construct outdoor and and indoor ranges like the world has never seen, the best, most innovative designers would have carte blanche to design shoot houses, street scenarios, long range sniper setups, CQB room clearing scenarios, plus all of the normal Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, handgun and rifle ranges. I think an explosive range where every target is an easily replaceable binary target would be pretty fun. Definitely a heavy gunnery range where one could shoot with RPGs, wire guided missiles, howitzers and tanks would be fun.

I would then construct the ultimate reloading facility with training facilities to instruct up to 50 students at a time in the fine art of reloading.

Lets see. $1B. Taxes, charity, wifes hobbies, kids hobbies, then my hobbies.

By that math im probably looking at a hi point c9.

I would hire a team of lawyers and go after every little anti-gun law I could find, make the pinko's pay to defend their stupidity; city, town, county, I would go after all of them. I think if a lot of them were brought into the light of day and the tax payers were faced with paying to defend them they would fold in a minute.

Leave God-Forsaken maryland where I am currently stuck ASAP (like today) so they can't bleed me for yet more $$$ for silly uses.

For firearms;
Freedom Arms .357 custom, likely one of every caliber they make and then some. Amazing company and quality!

WWII Thompson FA

M60

Coonan .357

I think that would do it for now :)

Obviously I didn't win but had I won, buying land behind my club's range and setting up a trust separate from the club with an endowment that would pay the taxes for the next 50 years or so would have been high on my list.

I'd put my stuff in storage and buy a bigass motorhome and disappear on the road, just cruising the US and Canada for a few years.

Gun related? Just enough nearby land to be able to shoot out to three hundred yards, with no possibility of any development or people behind it. Add an authentic Sig 550 to the collection: the gun which (reportedly) the AR wants to be.

Create a good retirement plan for my son (27) and his fiance, without removing too much incentive for the future.

This. I'd also include a state of the art personal firing range (covered firing point, adequate berms, ATV for running out to the 300 yard targets, etc.)

Beyond that, there are certainly a not small number of guns I'd add to my collection, but I can't think of any one in particular that stands out at the moment.

A Textron-Bell Long Ranger (7 passenger twin engine) Hilo with a door mounted Dillon Aero-Mini Gun which will be parked at out 250 acre compound somewhere.

A couple of really good legal-experts to work on details only for me (no other clients), then start adding to the collection.
