@bannockburn , very nice assortment there. Especially like your 1911 collection. Only thing missing is a 22/45.

Here's a couple of war babies near and dear to my heart.
Was issued my first Garand in early 50's. Of course
had to have a DCM model way back when they were still $90
But things change, eyes went south and could no longer see iron sights. Ruined her girlish figure (without drilling any holes; remove two screws and replace original sight), but got her out of the dark safe!
Shot 5 shot group low right, adjusted scope and shot center 5 shot group off bench 100 yds
Shoots decent off sticks in the field, as well. One shot @ 175 yds.
Don't remember the year first issued an M1 carbine in different MOS, but always favored the Garand. No before pics available, but the carbine met the same (no drill) fate as the Garand when eyes went south. Never a tack driver, but fun to shoot.
