Well I saw a great deal on Buds for this gun. Comes with a nylon case, glasses and ear bud protection. Bought it and 3 extra mags. Looks to be a solid 22. Reviews are good, seeing it in action on YouTube helped seal the deal.
Bought a Bushnell TRS-26 Red Dot to top it off. Anyone own or shoot these?

I have had one for a few years. Lots of fun to shoot, okay accuracy, prefer the short 10 round magazines for shooting off the bench. My wife enjoys it for the lightweight and mild noise. Mine has a Nikon 3-9x40 rimfire scope mounted on it. No comparison to my CZ 455’s as far as accuracy at 50 or 100 yards, but a fun plinker.

My son has had one for about 10 years. It's been reliable and I find it to be more accurate than your ordinary 10/22.

My son owns one, also. Runs reliably with SV or HV ammo. Accurate as well. Cleaning the carbon around the breech is probably the only problem :cuss:

I've had one since Feb or March. Was between that and a Tippman, but S&W had a $75 rebate at the time so went with it. That put me at about $350 in the rifle. 700 or so rounds and it's been ok mostly. One pretty serious malfunction that bent a CCI Blazer at about a 45 degree angle.

Have a 30mm open reflex sight with green circle dot on it for shooting at 50 feet. It does what it's supposed to do.

I don't own a Smith, but I have dropped a CMMG 22lr bolt into a 223 AR and it was a hoot.

I can't recall whether mine was marked Sport on the box, but here's what she looks like:

Swapped out the buttstock and grip; later I also removed the open sights.

One nice thing about the AR-type arrangement vs. the 10/22 is that you can remove the bolt easily and clean the barrel from the breech end.

I also own a Fightlite SCR with a CMMG .22LR conversion that's a hoot to shoot:
