Wait...I said what, now?To paraphrase CPT Kirk to Scotty...
"We need more powder, Scotty!!!"

Wow, what a "clean" and neat bench ... But you know what they say about a "clean bench"?
So…….rut? No rut?I've run 500 cases in the last three days, it was the only one.....
Someone told me that H335 wasn't a good choice for heavier 223 rounds.
Vertical dispersion on the 23.5 load appears like it could be deserving of a 2nd look also…..IMO…..I'll reshoot the 24.0, and try 23.7 and 24.2
The longer I looked at the target, the more I was thinking the same thing.Vertical dispersion on the 23.5 load appears like it could be deserving of a 2nd look also…..IMO…..
That sounds like a good plan............................The longer I looked at the target, the more I was thinking the same thing.
I can do 23.5, 23.7, 24.0, 24.2
I tend to have the same reaction when a bunch of exspurts tell me something I know is doable can’t be done.Someone told me that H335 wasn't a good choice for heavier 223 rounds. Let's see...

Everglades 68gr HPBT, weight sorted and trimmed FC brass - previously fired in this rifle and neck-sized only, S&B SRP. I throw 23 grains of H335 and trickle up to desired step.
Took my Savage M10 out yesterday with 4 loads. 5 shots each load; one shot per load, then rotate through.
100 yards, benched. The wind was really messing with me.

I think the 24.0 grain load wants some more investigation. 3 in one hole, then the wind got me.
I'll reshoot the 24.0, and try 23.7 and 24.2
Over here walking the line of never done before, shouldn't do that, and can't do that.I tend to have the same reaction when a bunch of exspurts tell me something I know is doable can’t be done.
I have a different reaction when the same crowd tells me something I have already done - with good success - can’t be done.
3/4in group at 100 yards?? Good enough for me! I'd load that all day.Someone told me that H335 wasn't a good choice for heavier 223 rounds. Let's see...

Yeah, 19.6 lookin' good. What are you shooting .38-55 out of?Tumbling 38-55 tonight.
Shot 38-55 today with N120 and Accurate 38-250F cast PB bullets.
I'm going to run this ladder again and if 19.6gr prints the same way I'll call that good.

But I so much want to shoot 1-hole groups at 100. I see others doing it, I've never done it in my life.3/4in group at 100 yards?? Good enough for me! I'd load that all day.
Run one of the accuracy 6mm and it's not near as hard. My best group was 1.001 inches for years and I sat behind my dad 6mmbr and shot five groups in a row in the .3s. The barel was a shilen match select with 107 smks, with 30.0 varget in lapua brass. But I so much want to shoot 1-hole groups at 100. I see others doing it, I've never done it in my life.
And the window is getting narrower as we speak....
