I own a number of Meyerco knives. I find their quality to be all over the place. I do own some nice ones. I also have a fondness for neck knives. I guess that you could say that I collect them. Another cool neck knife very reasonably priced is the CRKT Folts Minimalist. There are a number of different blade profiles.
I just got my girlfriend a Folts S.P.E.W., it is an excellent little knife for the money, under $30 like the Meyerco, also has a neck cord and a belt clip packed with it. I want one too now.
I've bought perhaps 6 of the original Folts Minimalist for myself and friends. Later versions come with a belt clip for the sheath, too. The Minimalist is probably the only knife with finger grooves that I like.
While in Afghanistan, I did find a Meyerco necker (Meyerco Dirk Pinkerton Wharning) that I liked. It was quite a value. Unfortunately, it seems to no longer be available.
For me it is really the first shot at trying to wear
a fixed blade EDC.
And i am impressed at how it is not there at all.
No downsides. And the small blade is still big enough
for all i want to do on a regular urban setting.
and compared to that tiny lil Meyerco neckknife
that i wanted to implant in my biker wallet ...
It's not so small, that actually misplaced it somewhere
I think i`ll try to sell all my knives, that i don't wear or have in car this year.
Hey gossamer. Not quite sure what "iwb" means. Inside the waistband? If so these knives are small enough that I only would find them suited for around the neck. Of the three blade profiles I like the Bowie the best. Next is the Wharncliffe but that is because I like that profile for many work tasks. I least like the tanto as I do not find it to be practical even if it is very cool looking. That said I do have a K-Bar Mule with a tanto blade profile that unexpectedly became a go-to work knife, mostly box cutting.
The CRKT Folts Minimalists really are a nice little package with the green/black micarta scales. While I own several neck knives my favorite continues to be the Benchmade Elishewitz 160, unfortunately out of production.
