It's *wonderful* to hear that CZ is expanding presence, investing in America, creating jobs and building a flagship location. But a quick look at this location on Google Maps satellite view shows that it is well on the inside edge of a massive 3.5 x 5.5 mile flood plain. It's not a good...
Interesting thought. I could see that. I did strip the metal with brake cleaner that first cleaning (as I always do with a new gun before applying my oil).
What was odd was I saw the rust color on a second application of oil later (still unfired). I guess I am assuming its oxidation. Could...
So far I've been giving my NEF coats of Eezox (my compound of choice). Might try the waxes (I've got all those mentioned here so far) in a small space to see how they do.
It just doesn't seem that liquids are effective enough on this type of metal. Again I don't see visible rust, just a rust...
Bought a 12 Ultra (the ones that are thick and heavy and look like a canon or mortar launcher) a while back.
Noticed the metal is not gloss and not matte - but mare porous. My first cleaning and application of oil after getting it home showed rust-colored deposits on the rag although there's...

The Browning is my favorite of all of those. Love that little gun. Unlike other...
Could you use the FFL Finder on GunBroker to locate someone near you to open an account with Williams?
Another option would be to search for FFLs in Williams' zip code as they probably have accounts and may ship to your FFL.
Although that's a lot of middlemen I'd guess.
Only a couple of used guns here. I prefer new because I know the history of the gun. Unless it is a stellar deal or a collectible that is no longer made (such as a Win 1894), I personally always go new.
Everyone surely has to remember to choose their battles wisely.
I'm not one to generally let people walk all over me and if I did let people walk all over me I certainly wouldn't consider myself morally superior to them!
I'm not sure what the point is to just rolling over and then complaining...
I'm sorry but I wouldn't have walked away feeling hurt and upset. I would have stood my ground for my property. You can't let people get away with that.
Guilty!
I noticed this happening after I quoted one with images...I didn't expect the images to be quoted as well. Made me cringe. I try to delete images when I quote now!
