DAO Only Hammer-fired Pistol other than Sig P250??

Sig P290RS; why the trigger was 50% heavier than the P250's remains a mystery unless Sig thought the pistol would be pocket carried without a holster.

    A New Walther CCP

The trend in recent years for mid-size .380 pistols has been toward reduced perceived recoil and reduced racking force and the gas piston system contributes to both.

    A New Walther CCP

M2 refers to the second model of the CCP, largely based on changes in takedown and striker removal. The original CCP required a separate tool to release the striker and field strip the gun. The M2 has a button on the back of the slide that releases the striker. Besides differences at the back...

Just venting a little bit and man I am not a fan of Lena Miculeck right now lol…ugh

$250 is a small price to pay to make a wife happy. The money's already been spent, so don't waste any goodwill it bought by continuing to complain.

Striker Fired: What am I Missing?

How many replacements parts do you carry out in the desert and way up in the mountains?

Striker Fired: What am I Missing?

What you are missing is what many striker-fired guns are missing, which are features beyond the minimum necessary for a functional firearm. Glocks and others have a simple manual of arms that make them ideal for introducing new shooters to guns, but you are well beyond that stage. The majority...

How Many Extra Magazines Per Handgun?

If you only have the two magazines that probably came with a pistol, you are distinctly in the minority, although how many more magazines you should get is still unclear. :)

Does anyone still carry an LC9 or LC9S?

The Ruger LC9/LC9s/EC9s is slightly smaller in length, height, and width, several ounces lighter, and with the same capacity compared to the original S&W Shield. From what I read on many forums, people have not abandoned their original Shields en masse, so I suspect a fair number of Ruger...

    TISAS' "Armed Services" 1911A1

Here are the ASF models on the Tisas website: 45 ACP (UPC 723551444191) and 9mm (UPC 723551444207). Here are the ASF models listed on the gun.deals website: 45 ACP and 9mm. The number of dealer offerings seem typical for new models from manufacturers like Tisas.

Is there anything particular to consider with a BERETTA 92 A1 ammo wise?

I do not know whether the OP would have any interest, but Beretta sells a 22LR conversion kit that works incredibly well on my 92A1. Having the exact same trigger for both 9mm and 22LR practice is very nice.

    Ruger Security 380 vs S&W EZ 380

The EZ has a height of 5.00" while the S-380 has a height of 5.01" with either the 10-round pinkie extension magazine or the 15-round extended magazine. The S-380 has a height of 4.35" with the 10-round magazine and flat base plate. You can't make the EZ shorter, but you can make the S-380 longer.

    Ruger Security 380 vs S&W EZ 380

My wife went through this process after she had extensive hand surgery. The S&W does require slightly less cocking force (I can do it with only my little finger on the front sight). The Ruger weighs about an ounce more, so it will have marginally less calculated recoil. Probably the biggest...

I don't know about all possible foreign manufacturers, but do Ed Brown, Nighthawk, Wilson Combat and other US makers' 1911 45ACP pistols all interchangeably accept any maker's mags and parts?

How many striker fired DA/SA pistols are available?

I am not familiar with Canik's relationship with Walther regarding the P99. However, Smith & Wesson and Magnum Research were not licensing deals but joint ventures in which the US companies made barrels and slides (heavy parts) and imported frames and internal parts (light parts) made by Walther.

How many striker fired DA/SA pistols are available?

I suppose you never bothered with "trash pistols" like the Smith & Wesson SW99 and Magnum Research MR9 ... so you had no opportunity to discover their frames and internals were made by Walther. While the original Caniks were poor clones with atrocious trigger mechanisms, the current TP9DA is...

Please explain why some do not like manual safeties on semi-autos?

Let's be honest that many, if not most, gun owners are probably more likely to mishandle their guns than to have a home invasion and need to fight off attackers. For those people -who will not practice or get training- leaving a gun untouched in a nightstand drawer may be the best probable...
