IJ and plainfield are both mil spec.....as far as fixing it, do it when you have the money, I suspect your stock is over cut, meaning a new stock is in irder for you.
2 things here......I have had both issues
1 reciever is poorly machined, must be replaced($200 installed for me in the 90's get a plainfield reciever)
2. Trigger group is poorly machined, replace($75 installed in the 90's also)
As for the barrel is the barrel loose ror is it just a...
Thanks to all for thoughts and prayers, looks like hearing damage is for ever, because of this my career will likely get flushed too. For any interested this is a critical stress incident for now, aparently ptsd comes later maybe. CSI counceling is used to avoid ptsd, I am in council for...
I am really thankful for your words folks, and when this is over in 1-4 months I will gladly reveal the whole story, I know its frustrating not to have all of the details, but thank you anyway for understanding, as the optimum outcome is no one gets a criminal record out of this. As far as...
I have a lot of thoughts and emotions right now, its the first I have really talked about it with any one, the cops here operate under the policy of charge everyone and let the court settle it out. I am just looking for encouragement reasoning and thoughts. I am not sure what I want to really...
Criminal charges have been filed, despite my begging for no charges to be filed as this was a true accident. I do not wish to discuss the incident as court is pending and discussing it may impair the defense.
Hey Jim if I made it seem like I "lost a friend" I did not mean a death, more or...
Long story short I was shot and got the free helicopter ride spent a day in the hospital. Good news the bullet penetrated just fat.....bad news I am now def in one ear which may or may not return, my career is now in jepordy, I have lost a very dear friend(not due to death but due to the...
Wow where do I begin?
Browning bdm
fnfal(centery arms)
Daewoo Dr-200(great until parts dried up)
G-3 clone(not h&k)
S&W 686+(the extra bullet isnt worth the reload frustrations)
Enfield revolver in 38S&W
50-90 sharps
Ruger Vaquero in 44 mag
well I think thats about it.........
I know there were full auto 1911's made in 38 super, but why did it stop there? Why not a thompson in 38 super, seems like back in the day(20's) it could have been developed into a super high rate of fire sub gun. Instead it has malingered into close to nonexistance until the 70's when ipsc...
Well, all mentione.......9x23 and 38 super will be around for decades atleast. there are 38 super guns turned out every year more and more, many forign countries use 38 super as a sporting round of sorts. 9x23 will die out well before 38 super ever will. Any heavy caliber rimfire will/is...
To qualify it can not be a "experimental" round(9x23 or other wild cat rounds). It has to be a round that many guns were manufactured for, and are still around in numbers today.
For example: Remington mod 8 and 81 lots of those guns still around, but 30 remington is no longer made.....ectinct...
Let me say I have 0 experience with anything listed but I did have a great 7mm rem mag. &mm offers many bullet choices I would think if you went with the lighter bullets the 7mm-08 would be great.
I have also looked at several advertised ballistic charts for the rounds you listed......no one...
The slide on a glock 45 looks like a shoe box with sights....so that out.
Look at eaa a 45 witness would be cool. I didnt like your other choices either.
I like the way the kid refered to the aquired guns as "black guns"......people drag race into everything........And what an idiot takes 50k and some knife with no paperwork.....claims to be antique.....I bet that knife goes for $19.95 on QVC along with 5 others
Then saying some one has to...
On a serious note, for the modern shooting "coat" I understand the elbow pads but why the built in recoil pads? and why are they so stiff? often made of heavy leather that will not bend easily? Leather sure for life long wear, but that can happen with soft leather too.
In addition to the listed
Handi rifles Varrious sharps configurations(and manufacturers) and trap door springfields I once saw a conversion of the Snyder enfield to 45-70.
Aside from that all others are a variation of the above listed in one way or another.
