Just bought 3 boxes at Cabels. Always shot lead because i never saw any plated here. Shot a cyl. full yesterday in my Blackhawk 357. Couldn't see any difference.
In my neck o the woods the powder and primer prices are going up considerably. The local S/W and Academy prices are $10.00+ higher .($45.00 to $50.00 a LB. and primers $2 to $3.00 more per 100 Is this just here or all over.

I have the Cattleman II in .45 lC. Got the 045 ACP cyl. from Taylors. The only thing i had to do was to fit the base pin hole to the frame. Locked up perfectly. As far as powder, i use Greendot for .45 LC

I use a 55 # anvil from HF. Very hard and you can use lighter blows with the hammer. Never had a primer problem as you described but have found some LP primers with no anvil on the floor. Set them off on the anvil with a ballpeen after telling the better half of my intentions.
