That is basically how mine is set- the prox switch rides on the ram, and shuts off before filling the spring tube, which allows the spring to flex while the ram is in motion.
I just finished getting my 3D printed collator hooked up to my ABLP last night, fed 250 cases of 223 to test. Big issues I had were the spring knocking the slide plate out, which was remedied by a zip tie, and I had to slow down the speed significantly so cases wouldn’t back up in the spring...
I got a Frankford Platinum case prep center, 500 RMR 69gr, and 250 new cases if the postal service un-loses them. Took the kids to Basspro yesterday as they wanted to shop fishing gear, picked up 1k Winchester 41s and 2x pounds TAC to try out with the RMR bullets.
I don’t have any experience with Titegroup, but I started my reloading adventures with 231 and have come back to it for 9mm and 38 special. Meters well, shoots well.
I happened to be putting in an order for the 124 MPRs when the price increase email came through- just got them in last week after they spent a few weeks in USPS purgatory- I’m very impressed with how fast they are progressing despite the estimates.
Good evening-
I've been using these bullets for a bit now- my experiences/thoughts for what they are worth:
Powder- I've used tested HP38, Unique and BE-86- Personally, I prefer these bullets between mid and full load with BE-86 out of my gun (Colt Trooper 357)
1- That is the groove to crimp...
I’ve used them both in 9mm 115gr in an XD and the 158gr SWC in 38 special. The 38s have been great, the 9’s do lead quite a bit. I measured mine out as .355- will need to go up for sure if I decide to try the 9mm again- live and learn on that one.
Edit- to clarify, I am actually planning to...
That is really cool. I don't reload rifle, but been wanting to learn 3D modeling better- we'll have to see between homeschooling and everything else if this might be a project to learn on = )
Edit- Intention being something to make on the 3D printer...
Not sure my experience will be the most helpful- been loading 9mm and 38special for about a year now. Ended up getting a can of BE-86 on sale at the LGS a while back, had started playing around with it this year before everything shut down. I liked it in 9MM- have more test loads to narrow it...
