The seems like a good time to hunt for local makers as has been said. Big makers want to stick to the most profit not truly support all of the community.
The Bobcat 21a and the ruger LCP are almost the same. The 442 lines up more with my P9 in size. No one would suggest a 9mm with a full grip for man size mitts is a mouse gun. I would suggest If the grip will hold a pinky with a magazine extension in play it’s not a mouse gun.
Mouse guns in my mind are of a certain size or type. Typically 22lr or 25 auto. You could possibly stretch that to 380 because of the advent of the 380 auto pocket pistols like the lcp, p3at. Spanning the p32 and or tomcat. Maybe NAA revolvers. But 38 special in a 642 or 442 do not fit the size.
I feel like wad cutters in 38 special is a 60 year old solution to a modern day problem. I have a box of 38 special semi wad cutters I will load for range time. But I carry hornady critical defense. At this point it’s psychological. I prefer a plus p even if the barrel is short.
I would also like to add to this peeing contest a thought. Many glock factory parts are interchangeable with the dagger. It’s made pretty Close to the same tolerances. But there is a few things I have heard such as grip angle being slightly different and they have a hinged trigger more like a...
I will try a dagger in the future. But likely just a range, stash gun. I do have several Canik handguns that are cz clones and I don’t think they are any less reliable as they are a UN certified ISO manufacturer. I will prolly get a real cz one day as well. But for now the 150 dollar used clones...
I have a 442,CW45,P9 and a LW commander in 9mm any of those see carry although the colt much less because if you need to d3fend yourself you may lose the gun. I will eventually buy a Tisas tanker for carry as well. I’m not one of the people than needs to carry a laser beam to Feel equipped with...
I have other priorities but I’ve been eying them since prerelease. I like the idea. I’d rather have one capable of running shells. Prolly a little more barrel like the desperado. But if I knew anyone that had one I’d pitch in on supples to be able to shoot it with them.
A mag fed 38 special ruger 10-38 semi auto rifle similar the current 9mm carbines. I just think it would be fun. Also I would like it to have a button for single feed so you could drop rat shot in it too.
My two caniks fire reliably and accurately. I have a c100 and a t100. I have only put a couple of boxes of ammo through each. But they are worth having still. I have shot a Turkish eastern arms shotgun in 16 gauge for about 25 years. It’s always made supper. I don’t know what else there is to say
I always felt with a little work they would be even better. I’m tickled by the idea of being able to jump to 9 rounds. I have other priorities for a minute. But one day…
I’m not qualified to tie up on the debates about efficacy or ability to max out a round or anyone of these fine arguments. But I want to ask a question. Do you think the resurgence of 10mm could be I t he spirit of getting the most punch from the least capacity ? As a concern for the future mag...
I only have experience with Bulgarians. Many moons ago I got one for 129 with two mags and a flap holster. It was one of the best shooting pistols you could find right out of the box. Ammo choices were pretty much FMJ or FMJ. There used to be a website called makarov.com it was pretty neat...
I’m to assume you can get them if you pay a transfer like a machine gun then? I thought the ATF ruling was changed on them during the Trump administration. They are now illegal. That may be why there is no new reviews.
