You’re limited to 8 rounds, what’s your choice?

As I often carry a 3" bbl'd, Smith M-60, I'm used to the round count limitation...and the affect such a limitation sometimes has on my movements. A reload can expand my travel choices, but it's still up to me to avoid troublesome areas.

My alternate choice, and one that I frequently choose is an alloy frame Sig 1911 RCS. Add'l mags make this arguably a better choice...the gun that I carry (in Condition One), uses a flush fit 7-round mag with an additional round in the chamber. And the add'l mags that I have, but seldom carry, are a pair of 8-rounders with rubber bumpers.

About two thirds of the handguns I own are eight round or less so I would have absolutely no issue being limited to eight rounds.

Simply not an issue.
80% of my handguns are less than 8 :p
Plus my muzzleloading 45 single shot....

I'm not against high capacity auto loading handguns. I just love revolvers.

I have a 442,CW45,P9 and a LW commander in 9mm any of those see carry although the colt much less because if you need to d3fend yourself you may lose the gun. I will eventually buy a Tisas tanker for carry as well. I’m not one of the people than needs to carry a laser beam to Feel equipped with anything at all.

Of the guns I currently own, only a 45 y.o. Astra .380 has 8 shots. All of the others are either over that (Keltec PMR-30) or less (3 revolvers - .22LR/Mag, .38 Sp., & .357).
If such a restriction were to be enforced, I would have to go searching for an 8-shot revolver, probably in .357 as I already have that ammo.

I asked myself the same question as the OP twelve years ago. My choice then and now… my DW 1911 CCO .45 ACP in IWB and OWB Milt Sparks leather. Spare mag as well. It also happens to be my bedside pistol! Love the single action trigger!
