i have used imr 4895 RL 15 and varget in 9 mosin's that i have and i stick with varget. it gives me 2600fps with 91/30 150gr bullets and 2500fps with M44 at 45.7 gr of powder. it also helps to neck size your brass.

my thought as well RL 19 or RL 22 is the way to go. got stupid one time and used some varget had to toss all that brass so go slow with this one and it can be a tack driver. i stick to 140gr bullets.

another thing to look out for is the primer size. some of the brass is small rifle primer RP brass that i have got at the range. do not know if other makers use that style.
