Might as well ask for 1.2Mil if you can keep a straight face and ask this much..........

It does indeed have some nice engravings. Might even shoot well on top of that. I'm just in awe of the 'asking' price on some of these...
A friend and coworker of mine was always buying Calhoon's bullets for his 19-Badger when we came and went through Havre, Montana for work. Miss that area and the endless fields full of nothing but short grass and prarie dogs as far as the eye can see. We were splicing a huge rural fiber optic...
One of the main reasons for even messing with such light projectiles in a 223 case... if we're engaged in rodent work, it allows you to actually witness the impact. Not arguing that a 223, with any bullet has much recoil, but with 40s there's a significant and notable lack in scope jump...
Rodents are out over here in my neck of the woods which has helped me work through the remaining stock of H4198 I've had on hand for over 10 years... at which point I went to acquire more and essentially realized I was all done using H4198 given it's 'new' asking price. Close to a quarter per...
Anyone ever top off their hopper with a different powder? The whole '1 open powder container in your workspace at a time' rule will really be remembered after that happens a few times.......
That's it, in a nutshell. The 300BLK is a reloader's dream with a mind boggling number of appropriate powders and projectiles to play with... but honestly you 'need' both
No chronograph experience on that particular combo, but we do know a lot of lead-core 77gr ammo will be topping out around 2750fps. Given that, if you could get anywhere north of 2800fps without destroying those primer pockets I'd say you've done well.
It's my belief...that the detonations you speak of with, "large case capacity + small amounts of powder" - has a lot to do with the fact that when the primer goes off, the heat is allowed to enter the entire cavity of the bigger case all at once, and will flash ignite that fully exposed layer of...
I was using a powder coated 200gr Cast Lyman .314 pushed through a Lee .311 sizer. Started around 16gr of N120 and was in the neighborhood of 12-13gr before the super-sonic crack had subsided.
Cool Rifle Anthony! I've played a little with heavy (200gr) cast bullets in a Ruger M77 in 7.62x39. I was using Trail Boss, N120, and A1680. Trail Boss was the easiest to work with (and quietest suppressed) because it has such good case fill compared to other powders with reduced loads...
I was lucky enough to inherit a box of 150gr 30cal Bronze Points... havent done much shooting with them once I learned they were somewhat unobtanium. It came with 2 distinct batches showing different cannelure positions.... or just a vintage box of blems
One of the cannelures is right...
Thanks for the report Richard! What have ya been sending through it? Does it tend to like a particular bullet/powder you've been using? Welcome to the forum!
Very thorough set of points..... I've grown to prefer Lee's little bench priming tool over both my RCBS & Frankfort Arsenal hand-held units as well as 3 different on-press priming setup I've used over the years. Marshall, If you're able to swage or at least thoroughly chamfer the pockets on...
