    Best Mouse Guns

Get the LCP if you shoot well with it. Your cons with the LCP sound like pros to me. Are you worried its going to fire while concealed?

    44 mag NMBH or Redhawk?

You talkin new or used or it dosent matter? Because if new, im not sure Ruger currently makes the Redhawk. Just the Super Redhawk or so i thought. In that case id go with the Blackhawk cause the SR is just plain ugly.

    Moss 500 cracked forend

IMO there isnt any "nice" wood out there for the 500. Its all birch or some other cheap light wood, not walnut. Ive been down this road for my 500 cause i like wood on blue but it leads no where. I ended up taking the cheap (cracked) wood off mine and replaced it with a hogue stock and forearm...

First ammo problem with my shotguns

^ My 500 cycles the Universals OK at best. I dont dare try them in my Light Twelve. What blows my mind is the local walmart here has 100 rd Universals for $26 something and 100 rd Federals for $19 something. Only two boxes of the Federals left for obvious reasons.

12ga Double Barrel Pump 16 Shells

To me, this post seems like a poor marketing tactic to spread the word. It just happens to be that the Op's first post is about a new product. If im wrong op, and your a genuine new member, then my apologies. But Ive seen this type of thing happen before on THR and it was regarding a steel rifle...

    browning bps questions?

Also a shotgun set up for trap may not be equally set up for "small game" (depending upon the small game your after). Which would be?

    browning bps questions?

If your shooting trap mostly, i wouldnt recommend switching the bead for fiber optics (didnt hear the op mention red dots, correct me if im wrong but i think he was talking about the long neon green/red fiber optic sights). Though some claim fiber optics help shooters because your eye has to be...

How Many Guns Are Enough ?

Post #28 by MedWheeler is the correct answer. Easy stuff. "Enough" varies from person to person's time, budget, desires etc. Anyone who has a "set" number of firearms that one should own in each catagory is in the wrong. Buy what you like if your budget allows it.

    223 Fallacy

R.W.Dale, I stand corrected. Curious, I just now located an article by Craig Boddington regarding bullet deflection. I do hunt in thick brush and was always told this wives tale but never questioned it. You learn something new everyday. But the fast and small .223 round would still have a better...

    223 Fallacy

Theres a big point here being missed. OP says: . .223 may work for whitetail (with good shot placement) but is by NO means a good brush round. Due to its small size, deflection is very likely to occur shooting through "thick and brushy" woods. With his scenario of 50 yards and brush why not go...

Ordered the Kick Eez spacers, a Limbsaver and a Carlson full choke from Midway, should be good to go. Thanks Fred and rc!

    New Wingmaster...couple of questions.

I figured it was a bug or some type of feature to let you know you had an empty in the chamber.. Fred the current length of pull is, if im measuring correctly, 14". Im a bigger sized fella so Id love an extra inch but id hate to permantly modify. Any ideas?

    New Wingmaster...couple of questions.

Just picked up a (new to me) used "never been fired" 2005 870 Wingmaster today. I have had my Mossberg 500 for years but this is my first 870. After I pump it, the action is tight but when I pull the trigger there is about 3/8 of an inch of loose back and forth play. I was shooting it and after...

    Books worth reading

Dave McCracken's threads in the "Shotgunning 101 Library" sticky on this very forum. I know this isnt a book but i dont care because they are very well worth reading for any new (or even experienced) shotgunner. I, for the first time just recently discovered, and finished reading many of the...

Dad saves Daughter, shoots assailants holding her as a human shield

Good for him (them) for being armed citizens. It would take a very confident shooter to take a shot at a bad guy holding his daughter as a human shield. Then again im picturing the movies where only the bad guys head is visable behind the human shield, which probably wasnt so. Either way, well...
