    Cold 25 Yard Test

I think one of the biggest benefits of this for me, probably like the eyes closed drill, will be preventing subconscious correction. For instance, if I had already shot a few mags through the CZ, I may have drifted my poa to the right with the bull a blur at 25 yards. Thus the pattern of...

    Cold 25 Yard Test

Today I took out six guns that I either carry or keep in a safe with loaded magazines to see how I did at 25 yards with the first four shots of carry ammo. Why four? The 9mm Gold Dots I wanted to shoot were divisible by four. No warm up, no do-overs. Some surprises and disappointments. I had a...

Any other runners: what do you carry?

So I got in 9.5 miles today in the 90s. I donned a hydration pack without waist belt, and I carried my p365 in a Molle pouch on the chest strap. The heat sucked, and I felt like the coverage from the pack and pouch made it difficult for heat to escape. I also don't care for the constriction...

Any other runners: what do you carry?

Looks like it might work for the micro eagle.

Any other runners: what do you carry?

Agreed. I don't think there is a perfect solution out there. No bulk. Negligible weight. No bounce. And the marketed solutions are often laughable, especially on Amazon. I am going to keep trying.

Any other runners: what do you carry?

Looks good. This thread is working out, collecting some good options.

Any other runners: what do you carry?

Anyone have a good waist pack or chest rig that has a p365-sized pocket closed by velcro, instead of a zipper?

Any other runners: what do you carry?

A chest rig may be what I go to for the 365. The extra room would be good for spray and a tourniquet. Most of my running is on trails where cougars actively hunt (thus the spray). I am of the philsophy that cougars and bears generally don't need to be shot.

Any other runners: what do you carry?

Yep not a fan of belly bands. The sweat guards dont stop sweat from above.

Any other runners: what do you carry?

I have priced the p32. (Gone up recently.) And I might make the switch, though every time I have that cash on hand, I have bought ammo . Fanny packs arent completely out. I have one that the mde fits in a zippered pocket. The draw isnt horrible. That relatively slim pack doesn't carry water as...

Any other runners: what do you carry?

If you are a runner, what do you carry, and how? More often than not, I have opted for a fixed blade. But I am trying to regularly carry a micro desert eagle in an open-top pouch on a runners belt, which seems to work pretty well. I prefer the weight and constriction at my hip rather than...

Traded my Five-seveN and ammo for this beautiful Marlin!

A lot of gun guys dont mind taking a loss on a trade they want -- at least judging by all those I have traded with. Just kidding. I'm willing to lose some for the right gun too.

Academic Exercise—Trash, Fix, or Shoot this 45ACP Case?

I was also guilty of poor humor, or inadequate emoji use.

Academic Exercise—Trash, Fix, or Shoot this 45ACP Case?

I wouldn't have smashed it, but also wouldn't have put good bullet, primer and powder in it. I keep an "all components unavailable" bucket, in case the future gets crazier than the last few years. I can always scrap it later...

Bench tested my Rossi 92 45 colt.

The ejector spring is still overkill, but the action on my 2022 is smoother and lighter than 10 years ago. It is a sample of one, but I have read similar reports. But disclaimer ... I always thought the common suggestion to get the Rossis slicked up and resprung was unnecessary, unless you...

Bench tested my Rossi 92 45 colt.

With current prices, I think that was pretty good for stainless. I payed 100 less out the door for a blued 357 from Sportsmans. I caught the one in stock early morning online. They go fast when priced reasonably.

Quick Review of Gallant Cast Bullets for 38/357

Glad to hear. I recently picked up a box of 240 grain for light 44 mags.

Your first CCW setup and sidearm of choice?

My first, because of a chance trade offer, was an NAA mini combo. I intended it more as an opportunistic plinking gun, with 22 shorts. My first consistent carry was a Bersa Thunder 380. Reasons were mostly cost and familiarity. I eventually replaced it with the 380cc for a little more slimness...

Bench tested my Rossi 92 45 colt.

Also, is it a 16, 20 or 24 inch? Probably should just include a picture. I think we all just like looking at every lever gun we can. I cheap out and go to an indoor range that is about 4 bucks Tuesday through Thursday. But the lighting is pretty bad, and my groups certainly expand, unless I am...
