I have a set of XS sights coming for my 40c. Fortunately I have plenty of experience installing dovetail front and rear sights. My question is how does the Ruger SR series compare to Springfield's XD series in terms of sight removal? Anyone here installed XS sights on a SR??

I have a Mossberg 500 with the smooth bore slug barrel and the dinky rear sight. Are there any better sights available for this barrel - preferrably fiber optic. I don't necessairily want to mount anything on the reciever but am open to options. Even a fiber optic font only would help.
