Personally I like my Glock 27. Easy to conceal, always goes bang. POA is easy to get back quickly. Even at 30 yards you can fill a 6" circle with bullet holes. A little practice with your partner goes a long way. Trust your partner.
I would like your opinions. I've narrowed it down to these two guns. The Sig Sauer P220 Super Match or the National Gold Cup Colt Series 70. I'm willing to put the money down for a nice gun. It will be a shooter, we are going to shoot some timed scenario steel plate matches here at home with...
Our local club shoots every month of the year. We shoot pocket pistol and derringer in our side matches every month. Quite a few pards have them here.
Thought since so many were doin it I might as well do it too. We have also used them in our main matches...
I'm thinking about getting a Derringer in 38sp for shooting cowboy action side matches. I could use some input on what brand to go with. Money isn't nessecarily an issue. I shoot 38sp in my cowboy pistols and rifle, it's just easier to load only one caliber.
I use AA hulls in 20 guage for cowboy action, they seem to have the least expansion on the brass and in turn allow them to fall easy from the chamber of my side by side. I use a lot of Remington black hulls for sporting clays, some of which I have loaded several times but I'm always collecting...
Obviously there are hulls that everybody wants to reload. AA and STS Remingtons seem to be the hulls that are the best. Remington Gun Clubs and Remington black hulls seem to work well but the question is what hulls should we shy away from and why are they not recommended to reload? Why are some...
So if I shortened the follower all the way back to where the end of the spring sits in the (cup) of the follower which might give me 5/8 of a inch.... Am I still looking @ a tight patooie?
I wonder if I could turn out some sort of an inverted follower so that the bullet would actually ride up in the follower, then I wouldn't lose any spring. Another words the bullet would be in the spring...
My 357/38 cowboy gun will only hold (11) 38's and there are a lot of times we can load 12 before the timer starts. Can I cut some of the coils off the follower spring and still have enough spring tension? Or would it be better if I turned out a shorter follower. I'm not sure the 2nd will allow...
I have blued several guns with Blue Wonder and of course metal preperation is the most important key to getting a good blue. You can get Blue Wonder from Midway USA. It comes in blue or black, I prefer the black. I buy the kit. The bigger kit is nice it allows you to do more then one job...
As much as I like pistols, I think I want to say go for it. Like you said you've got the Sig. You can never have enough guns. If momma can get her hair and nails done every week or so... I bet if you add that up you could just go ahead and buy yourself another shotgun.
I have been researching a few of my books and the Flaydermans guide to antique firearms says that the model#6 has a 20" round barrel. This gun has a 24" octagonal barrel. It looks like a model# 1 1/2 in the Directory of Illustrated Guns, except this gun has a fixed v-notch rear sight where as...
A buddy of mine has a Remington Rolling Block in 32 rimfire. His dad had it and handed it down to him. It has a 24" barrel and it is in 40% condition. All parts are original and is still very much a shooter. The bore is in great shape but the wood is of course diminished some and the metal is...
