    Bad plastic

My loaded Speer .38 practice rounds, totally failed, to fire. They have sat for several years and only tried in one gun, very light strikes and good with regular rounds.

    Hot loads

I list a lot of loads in a notebook and skip writing a tag to ID. Yesterday I am sighting a red dot on my 9mm and think 'this stuff is warm'. I just looked it up thinking it was a heavy PP load that I like, but nooo it was a start load of Unique, at normal seating depth . I checked a round and...

    Internet wrecked my gun

Thats right, my Sr-9C is failing to reset the striker, every once in awhile and I blame the internet and will sue it. Everyone said, "Get rid of that magazine disconnect" and I did. My gun is unreliable but trigger is/ may be, better. Does this make sense? I mean the gun, not the lawsuit.

    Bizarre primer strikes

The firearm that fires these is new. I think it is a LCP and the owner is a gun noob more or less. I have never been there when he shoots but I recognize his brass . What do you experts think? My guess might be a crooked firing pin channel. The one primer there is pierced and others are all...

    Stuck two of em today.

That's right, and they piled up :uhoh: I hear a real weird sound out of my .25 Italy gun and just keep firing away :what: They were Fiocchi factory rounds and not being reloads I was fooled. The gun is kept clean but I never oil any barrels. Does anyone have some input? The gun seems fine. ;)

    Crimson Trace touch up

I was going to go to worst handgun improvement thread, but decided to start new, and always wanted to say "This ought to be a sticky" (kidding). Anywho :).. I have the hard plastic, C.T. cheap model grips on my S+W .357. and have hated the feel, since day one. The (electrical tape in a can)...

    Unknown thingamajig

At least to me. It was in a junk bin purchase. It actually looks like something, that, I believe, was pictured and explained somewhere, a few months ago. Anybody know?

    Old time fear mongering

Well I hope you guys get a chance to check out an old movie, its called "Gun Crazy". It's B+W and quite entertaining with non-stop activity and a major love theme throughout. It looks as thou they are promoting an agenda, at least at the start, which is TO BE SEEN ! ;) PS edit (awesome...

    Prevent ammo tampering.

We have a lot of members who have heard of sabotage of enemy ordinance in times of war. I thought the liquid tape, in a bottle might prevent that. I made a poll. :)

    Proven wrong again by RCmodel

Maybe it was a pile on by Fuff too and others. It wasn't directed to me , but... We are told to keep that strain screw in and I knew better :uhoh: I never had a FTF in my ole md. 13. So yesterday, I had a couple cyl. of some homemade .38 to blast at a close 30' or so with the laser, rapid...

    Try beating this group

It won't happen, even a two shot group lol. S+W model 13 on bag at 50'. Horn. RN 158 and B.E. I held off shooting anymore until a cease fire, for a pic. It turned out to be chance, as the group ended up at 2", or a little less. I opened the action and checked barrel after not seeing 2nd hole.

    model 65

I had butted in on another thread, but here is my own. I have looked a few times at this S+W. Model 65 S.S. It has a stamp of 65-2, on the crane. The gun is not pinned or recessed. The other numbers, also on the crane, are obviously re-stamped with a totally different number. Is this common...

    dowel to drop my mags?

I was shooting my Gold Cup today and the magazines were getting stuck in something awful. I have a new Clarke barrel in there that I "fitted", (somehow). I have put maybe 100 rounds through it. Besides jamming on my wadcutters, a little, it has been great. The thing is shooting in one hole...

    hows my crimp?

Well, I been loading up, nevertheless, but thought I might ask. These are max loads with 2400. I hope it can be seen, but the crimp is not a thin line. I used the seat/crimp Lee die then the factory crimp. The LFC leaves a wide crimp that seems to be fairly tight, but not excessive. I was...

    revolver misfire

So I was firing some really hot 158 gr .357. I get a click, twice, so I look and there was a empty hole where the primer should have been. This ever happen to anyone? Edit to say I am pretty sure this round had a primer when loaded, I hand prime.

    My SR9c attacked me

The recoil spring, at the front, caught a big ole hunk of skin at the base of my left pointer finger. I couldnt get <removed> loose and it hurt a bunch. A little pain is bad enough but being unable to get loose really bites. I was sure the hunk of finger skin was gonna get ripped off in freeing...

    varying OAL?

I just made my first .223's and oal's are off. They are up and down by .001-.025. The upper numbers more often. These are new Lee dies and trimmed cases. The trimming shouldnt matter, nor the Nostler 69 gr. bullets, which, after a quick check, seemed to vary by .005. My questions are, is the...

    thoughts anyone?

Anyone try 5.5 gr. of Unique in a .38 Sp.? I mean, it seems to be too much, but I have a K frame .357. Oh, I have 158 gr swc's. I would also load to max length. Thanks;)
