Hi guys..
I am using a Hornady ND seating die for .40 & 10mm.. It is normal for the 10mm case to not go all the way in to the die like the .40 does right? That's the trade off to give you two calibers in one die correct? In other words you can not kiss the shell jaws to the die with a 10mm case in there no matter how far you back off the seating plug. It took a little playing with but it seems to be very repeatable even though I do not get a full press stroke.
Also, I do not have a case gauge for the 10mm but I do for the .40...I have been dropping them in the .40 Wilson gauge for a cursory check. Most slide right in after a light crimp and settle right on the ridge at the bottom of the case. Some however stick a very slight amount more then the others and will "snap" in with a little pressure. I have tried more crimp but nothing.. I can find zero differences between rounds that plunk in and those that do not. These rounds have RMR heavy plated 180's so could that be the issue? Some are just pushing on the mouth edge a little more than others. Would they fall into a dedicated 10mm case gauge?
Any issues firing these bad boys in my G29 Gen 4? All these rounds will fall right in the G29 chamber(one reason I love Glock barrels) even though this IS a fully supported chamber. (at least as glocks go)
