Hi,
I have a new .17HMR Browning T-Bolt Classic on order and would be interested to hear from anyone who has this rifle. In particular I would like to know what ammo you have tried in this rifle, what has been your experience in regards to accuracy etc. and what you have settled on as your favourite brand.
Much appreciated, Eddie

Whil;e I don't have any experience with that exact rifle, the .17 hmr's I have had a chance to shoot or own have all been VERY accurate weapons.

no matter your make/model 17HMR, don't depend on what someone else groups best with in theirs
they tend to be individual personalities, you really need to buy 4 or 5 boxes of different ammo to find out what shoots best with your own gun

poly-V in some, TNT in some, 20 grain solids in some, have tried it ALL, and so should you
though I prefer CCI Hornady, 17 grain TNT at 50-75 yards, and 20 gr solids at 100 yds,
somebody else with same make/model just might get their best groups with poly-V, you never know til you know

the good news is, it all throws good groups, but the individual rifle is virtually certain to like one flavor load better than any others, how it is with hummers,... and finding out which those are is part of the fun

find your rifle's favorite cartridge and 3/8" groups not hard to do, 1/4" 5 shot groups @ 50 yards pretty common
"dimes at 50, nickels at 100" = fair expectations
(Browning, Savage, Annie, Marlin, Mossberg or whatever... 17HMR is one of those rounds that tends to do real well in most any rifle)
throw 'em at 3/4" and 1" shoot-n-cee dots at 50-60 yards, and don't be surprised if you still see only one hole after the 2nd shot, unless shooting a cold/clean barrel... mine takes 3 rounds to settle in (not at all unusual), then very very consistent after
