Today I brought home a V-Bob Valor in 9mm.

The good: This thing is phenomenal. Never had a pistol that was on this level. Still in break in mode, but zero failures. Its a laser beam. First shot I had to stop and stare at the gun. Then had to repeat to verify this was really happening, and that it wasn't a fluke. Fist sized group, free hand at 10 yards with the first mag of a gun I've never fired.

The bad: As some of you may remember from my "I want a 10mm" thread, I fell into a Sig Tacops in 10mm. Loved it, no problems. But the difference in build quality is night and day. Now I'm thinking of offloading it to buy a 10mm Dan Wesson.

Can't say it'll happen for sure to you but once I got my VBob I recognized I'll never buy a lesser production 1911 again.

Sadly, I just recently got into the semi custom game, and I'm sure my next 1911 will be a full blown custom, so my DW days are over too.

Though I've always coveted a Bruin.

Colt Competition in 9 mm is a solid gun. I would buy one again, well worth the money.

This is a heck of a gun. I have 6 9mm 1911's and this one is my favorite, including the offerings I have from Dan Wesson and Kimber.

That said, I did have to replace the grips. The blue didn't do it for me

I do also really enjoy my Kimber Aegis Elite Custom, though.
