I'm in the "Wait. Do what?!?" camp. What is it about your vintage Colt that makes it seem like replacing it is the way to go?Gonna sell my 1960s vintage Colt national match gold cup. Looking to buy a full sized 1911. I want to buy a good one once. What do you like and why.
When I could not buy a Dan Wesson PM7 during the "Great Shortage" years (only 250 made for CA each year), I compared different 1911s and ended up buying a railed Sig 1911 XO - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-the-gospel-of-browning.862343/#post-11368972Looking to buy a full sized 1911. Armscor 1911 Citadel is match grade version of Armscor RIA 1911 Tactical with tighter barrel and tolerances and produced slightly smaller groups than my Sig 1911 in this 15 yard comparison before I move onto 25 yard testing (Sure surprised me) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/rmrs-own-line-of-thick-plated-bullets.761471/1911A1 ... Tisas ... cost less than $350! ... IT OUT SHOT A KIMBER AND A SPRINGFIELD that cost 3 to 4 time that!!!
+1Hmmmmmmm...
Put me in the corner of explaining exactly whats wrong with your current one?
OP posted full size 1911 and could be testing the waters to see what other members like about their full size 1911swe also need some more informations from the opener. Carry gun? Materials? Sights? Budget?
And I provided the reliability and accuracy of my Sig 1911 that shot 10,000+ rounds without any breakage.Looking to buy a full sized 1911. I want to buy a good one once. What do you like and why.

It was sold as a 'reproduction' of the original government issue 1911A1 and it is made by Tisas. I bought it just for 'old time' sake as this was the first hand gun I had used to 'eliminate' a threat many years ago, in a land far, far away! It cost less than $350! Well here is the kicker, IT OUT SHOT A KIMBER AND A SPRINGFIELD that cost 3 to 4 time that!!
THR fate and destiny, of course. Cheers!I don't know how I managed to get this reply in the beer temperature thread, and without even drinking any beer. But it is still so.
