Here is an often quoted 270 Load:
WW cases, CCI 200 primers, 60.0 gr. H-4831, 130 gr. Spire point bullet.
Good accuracy, good velocity even from 22" barrels.
People post about good accuracy but they rarely mention how far off the lands or OAL with that recipe.
How far from the lands do you go with the 270, or what OAL's are you using?

Only speaking for myself and family, most of our hunting rifles are constricted to magazine length or close to it. Our single shot target and hunting rigs we have a lot more room to test for optimum seating depth however sharing that information is subjective , your rifle might like a different depth etc.

Unless one seats quite far out, well below the cannelure with so formatted bullets, for example, one will be well off the lands with any 130 grs bullet. @edwardware offers good advice above. Since the 270 Win is predominantly a hunting rather than target cartridge, "good accuracy" should mean 2MOA or better.

3.240 in either a new Model 70 or a push feed Model 70 produces sub M.O.A. I used to shoot H4831 but with covid-19 and Uncle Joe, I shoot what I can get. Lately it's been IMR 4831 or 4350 with Hornady 130 grain SP Interlock with Win LRP. You may want to try testing the rifling in your gun with a dummy cartridge.

Ruger M77 using 55gr of IMR 4831, COAL is 3.320 with a Hornady 130gr SST produces good results for me.

I’ve found that my most accurate load in my .270 Remington 700 is with the bullet seated 0.1” off the lands. This leaves only about a 1/4 inch of the bullet in the neck. The rounds will fit the magazine, but do not feed reliably. I just chamber them individually. I shot a deer through the heart at 212 yds this year.
If I were a serious, I’d have the barrel set back a bit so I could seat a little deeper.
3.425” OAL .

Every gun is different. I loaded some 270 with 130 gr Speer HotCors for my Ruger 77 with a COAL of 3.25 with a .015 jump. I loaded the same bullet for two friend's model 10 Savage and had to set the COAL at 3.19 and 3.15 because of short throats. Most of the time I'm limited by magazine length.

That measurement on the M77 pretty much exact same as mine. I am 3.255 and that is=0.013 off the lands in it. My Tikka has longer throat
