YES!
It's been around for at least 40+ years that I know of. I first used it in 1972 when I was 16. I'm now 56 and have several hundred of the component bullets available for loading for my .30/30's.
FYI, the lead in the nose is quite soft and will deform readily.
Also, it is an near explosive bullet for use on smaller deer. For deer that typically run over 200lbs, I suggest you move up to the 170gr Corlokt. It too readily expands on smaller deer, but I've never recovered one on over 40 deer shot with them. They both have an excellent reputation in the North end of Maine where deer run over 200lbs and bears are even more numerous and run over 400lbs....
Unfortunately, the component bullets have become much more expensive since Cerebus took over Remington. They are now more expensive than Sierra or Speer and nearly as expensive as Nosler ballistic tips. I'll not be purchasing any more.....
